Stubhub was $56 after all the fees, so it's not like he (I) overpaid as far as the box office is concerned. Whether or not there was an overpayment as far as value is concerned is a completely different question. - buffalofan19
I got the Megaticket this year, so my cost per show after the taxes and stuff they added onto it is $30 per show. I sold one of them already and plan on selling one other.
It's less than I pay for each ticket to see the Sabres these days and it's something to do that's outside when we actually have decent weather. |

Buffalo would be smart to get more venue's on the waterfront and or on the Buffalo river like Cleveland.
Darien could be a good venue but it has zero competition. Add more outdoor venues in and around Buffalo and you make Darien sweat to make make proper changes. - dadeadhead
I would love to have something better on the waterfront. It's a hell of a lot closer than Darien is and would probably stay a bit cooler since the lake is right there. Just not sure where you could put something that would fit the same amount of people as Darien does. |

The old Pier/Shooters location.
More than enough room there. |

Yeah, I was wondering if there was enough room to put an actual amphitheater anywhere down there. |

I did not. He linked me to Stubhub and asked me to buy that ticket. After checking with my mother to make sure she was okay with him going, I bought the ticket, sent it over, and asked no more questions after that. - buffalofan19
This is the perfectly appropriate response to his request. |

I have told him, but at the end of the day, I am getting reimbursed.
I prefer to let him discover these things on his own. |

There's space to put the venue, but where are you gonna park everyone? I know they used to do shows over there, but they were much smaller in size when you look at the amount of people that went. |

Run trolley's from the arena area down there.
Where there is a will there is a way.
Add the cost into the price of the ticket, bring in good acts and people will pay the price.
That space is bigger than what you think also.
It could easily hold 10,000 people plus vehicles. |

NFTA paid next to nothing for the land, they use it as a tax write off somehow, IIRC. They are trying to sell it for more than it is worth.
Plus I'm sure the historic society/preservationists will come out and say you cant build anything there because there is a 100 year old tree that would have to be cut down, and it would cost a lot of people time and money.
Giant mess. |

Which Is why you like baseball and not Nascar, I used to help out on a cleaning crew for the races at Chicagoland (Joliet) at first it was neat then a whole lot just he same but I don't get it.
I stopped liking baseball because I always saw it as a job for a decade so the thrill isn't there anymore. Really I go to game to take a look at ball parks. Did Pittsburgh over the 4th which was nice |

Baseball is still boring even knowing the ins and outs.
Nascar is still a head scratcher even knowing the ins and outs. Meaning why do people still watch/go to this activity. It was way more entertaining in the late 80's-early 90's and even then |

While you're getting stuff done around the house on a hot weekend day, there is no better accompaniment that a baseball game on the radio.
At the park, for a guywhose job turn my phones into an email, phonecall and texting harpy, a bag of peanuts, a jumbo Zweigles, and a sweaty Genny are an unbelievably welcome change of pace. |

Oh I know, but you highly underestimate that group. I had a friend who was in that society, lets just say the lengths they will go to just so crap is not torn down regardless of what the economic impact is, is amazing. |
