hahahaha. So glad I don't do help desk anymore. 9 years at this place and I've been promoted a few times and finally away from dealing with the vast majority of the idiots on the phones now.

We use Microsoft Access for one of our daily processes and this person appended the same set of data to a table twice. Thankfully there's already a deleter built so I don't have to try and figure that out.

My Access skills are probably a half step up from basic.

The Blackhawks have quite a few talented defensemen in their system, but none of them come with as much potential as Clendening. Taken in the second round of the 2011 draft in Minnesota, the New York native has proved a lot during his two seasons with the Rockford IceHogs since signing an entry-level contract in 2012. In 147 games in the AHL, Clendening has 21 goals and 84 assists, and has proven to be quite proficient at quarterbacking the team’s power play from the blue line.

Here is how Hockey’s Future describes his skillset:

“Clendening is an offensive defenseman blessed with superb puck-moving ability and on-ice vision. His excellent puck skills are one reason why many scouts are high on Clendening. He can see plays develop and follows them quite well…Clendening’s ability to move the puck and patience with it makes him an ideal quarterback on the power play. He makes very good decisions with the puck and distributes the puck very well.”

I understand your dialect.

I'm good with Excel, but have never done database work, so I'd be at a complete loss with Access.

About a year ago, I would have been right with you. But I've been using this particular database since April 2014, so I've gotten a bit more comfortable. Which is good because the person that manages it for the most part is on a 2 week vacation and the guy that built the database is in a meeting.

I think he's got one more big move to make, a top pairing guy. I think he pulls a NJ at the draft and puts the 2016 1st in play as long is it's not a top 2.

The rest is interchangeable and pretty easy to address in FA if you're careful about your spending.

Wouldn't surprise me to see us push for Giordano or Seabrook if either come close to FA next year.

If Eichel and Reinhart are as good as advertised, after next (this) year we should be contenders.

Posted recently that there's no way he hits UFA, even if Chicago doesn't sign him. I think he'll get some sort of "record" draw in a rights-trade.

My favorite was for a few weeks I regularly got a call from a user not able to sign in. I remote to her PC and her username looks fine, she insists her PW is right, but no matter what it wasn't working.

Turns out she kept putting a space after her username...

You never know. We heard for two weeks that Saad was priority #1. When he wanted 6 mil, they moved him.

I'd say most likely he resigns, but I'd bet he'd cash in in FA
