If there's one thing that might suffer from Russ Brandon taking over for Ted Black, it could be the area's relationship with USA Hockey. Black seemed to have a really good relationship with the powers that be over there. There's no doubt in my mind that Russ Brandon could maintain that relationship, but the question becomes how big it will be on his priority list.

I didn't read the article, so it could have mentioned this, but I would think that the logistics of having it in Buffalo would be easier. Does Tampa even have enough rinks in a reasonable distance to support it?

I would hope that's something that Pegula (either of them) stresses heavily.

FWIW, I don't imagine Buffalo gets it again, so soon.
