If the Flames really were the problem we should find out this year. A bridge contract is nothing to scoff at. I honestly Sven could have a really solid year in green and blue.
My only question is, if he's playing with Sutter........... Is sutter a decent puck mover? I know he has a good end to end game defensivlely and can pop in 15-20 a year but can he distribute? - vancity787
Sutter wasn't brought in to distribute, he was brought in to weed out the weak ass Canuck fans. |

Read the scouting report on the last page. - Nucker101
Well the last sentence makes me believe that we just traded bonino for bonino.
Cuz if anyone think Bonino is a grinder and anytime ever, you're a liar. He skates on snow shoes.

This is why I highly doubt Sutter is just being acquired to flip at the TDL, Benning really likes him. - Nucker101

Their offensive styles seem pretty different based off of that report. |

From Scott Cullen...
Sutter, 26, is coming off a season in which he tied a career high with 21 goals and was a plus-6 while playing more than 17 minutes per game. Sounds okay, doesn’t it?
It gets a little less promising when going beyond the surface to see Sutter’s possession stats. Over the past three seasons, the Penguins have controlled 45.5% of even-strength shot attempts with Sutter on the ice, and his relative possession ranks among the very worst of forwards that played at least 2000 5-on-5 minutes.
Sutter’s relative numbers weren’t likely to be favourable on a team with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin centering the top two lines, especially when Sutter was charged with tougher assignments, facing quality opposition and starting more of his shifts in the defensive zone.
He’s a 26-year-old who has yet to score more than 40 points in a season and he did that, while riding a career-best on-ice shooting percentage, in 2009-2010.
The reasonable expectation is that Sutter is a third-line centre, though he may have to fill the number two spot in Vancouver until 20-year-old Bo Horvat is ready for that responsibility.
He has one year remaining on a contract that comes with a $3.3-million cap hit. Given the extensions signed by Derek Dorsett and Luca Sbisa, there is legitimate reason to worry that the Canucks are going to pay more than Sutter’s production might warrant.
This deal doesn’t look good for Vancouver. Not only would it be possible to justify trading Bonino for Sutter straight-up, but the Canucks added a prospect and an upgraded draft pick to the mix. Pittsburgh has done a really nice job bolstering their organizational depth, essentially for a player that had one year remaining on his current contract. |

I don't think I was reading what you were asking me to the. Sure it was last page?
Or is it quite possible that I'm in such a foggy haze from the last bytch that walked into my store I could possibly be seeing things?
By the way bytch go f***yourself don't ever try to tell me how to do my job.
12 years and I still get no respect. The fake smile and fake hapiness is bringing me down.
Rodney Dangerfield is not impressed. |

I definately felt bonino was a weak link.....talented yes but weak. Was kinda hoping recently we had someone better. Havent watched sutter so im not sure what he brings, but reports are his competeblevel is high which is an upgrade over bonino. For a guy who has less reported talent he out scores bonino while playing on 3rd line as opposed to 2nd. So that looks good.
Ultimately we wont know till we get these players playing on the team for a season.
So far I like the move but feel JB grossly overpaid with other additions in the trade. I see that salary had to balance, ok.....so whynthe draft picks? JB needs experience points in trading. |

I would say Svens contract can't be more than 1.2 seeing he is the 22 roster spot and we need cap space of 900k for Jake |
