I agree, but our Mod has been MIA for quite some time. Unfortunately things have degenerated quite a bit since then. Most of the whiners and complainers wouldn't survive a day on other blogs. - madmike71
If that is taking its toll on RW, he should take appropriate measures to inform the site owner of issues and the lack of moderator control to resolve the issue. |

Well, as long as you're okay with a paid member of an organization not-so-subtlely telling a patron of his organization "Told you so!!!" then that's your take. Persoanlly, if I did that a customer at my job, I'd be fired. And there are people that I want to do that to every day. - jmatchett383

FWIW, I don't care, because I use this site for recreation and just ignore the people I don't want to talk to, so I rarely get offended on here. That said, if people are attacking him personally, they should be reported and will be dealt with accordingly. If people simply want to bash him, he should have the maturity to realize they are people who mean nothing to him and move along. - jmatchett383
Yah, I know exactly who it was supposed to be for and it was great lol

Over 35 contract so the entire thing counts against the cap.
Very strange. - BINGO!

You don't have to. People here seem to know exactly who it was. Implied can be just as damning as known. |

It must be a sign of how quiet things are with hockey right now. Basically, two teams traded their third line centres. These are depth moves. Yikes. |

You do realize that players can improve after they're moved, right? (You better hope that's the case with Sutter) The Pens have had pretty decent luck in that area. Niskanen was a nothing defenseman for Dallas, Dupuis was a throw in, Kunitz wasn't much. I'm not saying Clendenning is great or anything, but he's a throw in on a trade that was already in the Pens favor. You're the only person who I've seen say he has to clear waivers for us. Every sports writer has said he is on a two way contract and can be sent down without clearing.
And Clendenning is in the running for #7 or #8 initially. He's not coming into the season as the #6 unless we unload D without recouping any, or if there are multiple injuries. - mw630
Clendenning and Bonino both moved last year and were given bigger roles and both got demoted and traded again. Maybe third times a charm.
The best player that got moved yesterday was Sutter. As soft as you think he is wait until you see Bonino. Sutter is a slight upgrade over Bonino, not much , but slight.
Bonino does not have a good two way game. He is slow and better suited for the wing seeing he is terrible at face offs. He is not a checker nor a defensive player. He would be better suited playing on Gino's wing.
If you don't believe me go sad the article Canucks Army just wrote saying exactly the same. |

I'm not totalling disagreeing, I just think that, as a paid member of this site, it should not have been presented in such a snarky way. |

Regarding the Devils and Zubrus, he was an over 35 contract so they don't get any salary cap relief from buying him out. |

Not sure exactly what Pitts gained in this trade other than I give it a win for clearing cap space to sign Fehr.
Vancouver picked up Clendenning from Chicago hoping that he was the gem buried in the depth. Turns out he got buried in the much lesser depth in Vancouver. I an team fully of young D, he was looking like he would end up being the 8th D and sure to be lost on waivers. Great AHL results do not always translate. Maybe Pittsburgh can get him back on the path.
Bonino, is another gem in the making that Vancouver thought they found in the Kelser's escape to Disney Land. He looks great on paper. For the first month or two he looked like he might be a steal. Then he disappeared never to return. Mid way through the season, he was given Vrbata as his RW. While Vrbata clearly helped his stats, Bonino never really seemed to be noticable or fitting into his 2C role. His D and lack of skating meant that 3C was a poor fit. He looks to be that guy that has a toolbox, but never quite the right mix to bring it all together.
Sutter isnt a gem either, however that advantage for Vancouver is that the skill set he does bring is the hole they are looking to plug. For this, and for clearing unneeded pieces, Vancouver also gets a win. |

If Sutter is your 3C you have bigger issues. I doubt Clendenning could be worse than Scuderi. - jfkst1

The difference is your customer is paying for a good or service. Around here, very few are actually paying for the service. People that complain about "free stuff" have issues. |

Not strange. Zubrus was down right bad the past couple years, probably wanted to free up room for their kids since they are starting from scratch |

He could be talking about people he knows in real life. You could be falsely accusing him. I know who it's about obviously, but without naming anyone you have no proof and neither do I.

There is your biggest problem. At best, Sutter is a slight upgrade over Bonino (you will also have to wait and see him play). He is already 1.4 mil more expensive and likely will be at least double what the Nucks were paying Bonino. The main move for the Pens was to free up space to sign Fehr - which was done. Clendenning doesn't have to amount to anything and I'll still be fine. I would rather have him in our system for nothing, and see if he pans out. If he doesn't, no issues. Moving up 10 - 20 places in the early part of the draft is also a bonus. |

Both sides of the deal come with red flags. I can agree with that.
I am just letting you guys also know Buyer Beware. You are not getting nowhere near what you thought you were.
I know we will struggle to make the playoffs , but if Clendenning is your number 6 and Bones your 3 Rd LC , then so will you struggle. |
