Agree 100%. Hoping we didnt overcorrect with murray. He really is darcys polar opposite. Looks good so far though. - rover16
I wouldn't polar opposites. Say what you will about Darcy, but that mother (frank)er pulled off quite a few good to excellent trades. Paul Gaustad for a 1st! Briere for Chris Gratton, Drury for Warrener just to name a few. Hodgson can't really be labeled as a bust trade-wise because what has Kassian done? And Sulzer was solid if unspectacular for a little bit so that puts a few more points into the Sabres column, because Gragnani went straight to the AHL after the few games he played to end that season if I'm not mistaken.
Unfortunately he just couldn't assign proper value to free agents, and Murray hasn't been in a position to do so yet. Sure, Murray's pulled off a few Blockbusters, but not enough time has passed to know whether they're good deals or not. |

We are designing one for Nashville right now.. The only Biergarten I've been in was in Germany.
Pretty cool concept. They put a poop ton of money into their kitchens also. |

Hate the Dolphins and Tannehill but my god this is a (frank)ing gorgeous uniform. Puts their actual current set to damn dirty shame.
Easily a top 3 uni in the league if it were their regular set. |

correct by Canalside, Pretty good idea if they can get the crowds before games and events.
The one in Newport that was across the street form where I worked was helped by concerts and the fact that 3 stadiums are across the bridge form it.
It always was the place you meet up with your friends get your base and move onto where your evening is meant to go.
Good food as well if you like traditional German Fare - hubie
We put a D1cks Last Resort in that area (Newport) on the river across from the stadiums last year. It's right where one of the walking bridges is. |

Much to learn, you have, on the topic of aesthetics in uniforms.

I think he's right. Nothing special in the design and I never liked teal. |

I'm a fan of classic stripes, orange in uniforms and unique colors. These uniforms are 100% win. Only teams with aquatic based mascots can even think about pulling off teal. Original sharks uniforms and these dolphins uniforms are it.
As for their Nikefied set, and the current San Jose set, absolutely horrid.

Don't have to like a team to like a great uniform design. In fact, I love the Sabres but think our current uniforms are atrocious, only slightly better than the slugs, IMO. Too much piping, shouldn't have grey, too dark of a blue and a crappy re-design of our original logo.
Remember the Bledsoe Bills unis? Blech. Thank god the Bills current set is amazing. |

I would like to see the sabres overall uniforms get back to their original look. Big stripes on the garment and the original logo.
I think a great example of a team "getting it" is the coyotes going from their "wool blanket aztec sweater" to their current red with white stripses look. Their current uni's just look so much more classic than their original duds. |
