Thank you. I may be a habs fan and Boston is my worst enemy but Sweeney has single handedly destroyed any meaningful rivalry both our cities had going. I'm seriously pissed if I am a Boston fan. - habfanforever
It's all part of the plan..U will understand this once it all comes together... |

No point in arguing this completely logical point.
They have ONE report that he didn't want to sign in Boston from a team, that's unknown, and now in Boston most fans have accepted that as the Bible.
It's called contract negotiating..............
This Hamilton thing is a (frank)ing joke and a bigger joke than the Seguin ordeal. But most Boston fans have gotten soft over the last 15 years........understandable.
-------------
How much do you guys think Byfuglien will get as a free agent.
He is 30 now and likely has only one more BIG contract left. So I would assume he is going for a bigger payday.
5 to 6 years at $6-to-$7 million per?
How are we going to sign him to a contract like that........and he isn't really worth it either. - JIwasinskiJr
So you honestly believe Sweeney looked at Hamilton, said nah, not gonna sign him, rushed a trade, then went looking at almost as expensive clearly not as good fa fill ins? That's ridiculous. Also it's been heavily reported Boston offered multiple contracts in that range and Dougies agent never responded/ countered. Let it go. I have a feeling Sweeneys gonna get treated a lot like Eriksson. People will ignore all the good he does because he made a bad first impression

Not true. I spent about a week hating Sweeney but it's obvious now it was dougies fault, not his. If not for Dougie, wed have this lineup
Eriksson Krejci Hayes
Marchand Bergy Connolly
Belesky Spooner Pasta
Talbot Kelly whoever
Chara Hamilton
Seidenberg Trotman
Krug Miller
Rask
TB is the only Atlantic team I would say is clearly better on paper. But now were scrambling to replace Dougie and the fate of our season kinda rests on how effectively we can do that. (frank) you Dougie! |

Trading Hamilton destroyed the rivalry?? Holy poop!!
Didn't realize Hamilton was on par with the greatest Dmen ever to play in the Nhl!
Wow that's crazy talk.
Pretty sure Rinaldo will do something stupid to rekindle it for you. |

They missed the playoffs, lose Lucic and somehow only 1 team is clearly better than them "on paper"? Someone mentioned sunstroke? |

D is a tad suspect now, looch is no big loss with Belesky and promotions from the A.
Injuries hurt us last year. Just like other teams in the past. It was our turn to get plagued by them. No big whoop. Not like you guys won the cup bud. |

MTL winning the cup or not is completely irrelevant, didnt say anything about the Habs... but there are a few teams better than Boston in the east, Habs included, cup or no cup, bud |

plus they still need to move bickell and versteeg to become cap compliant after signing kruger and the 7th defenseman... so yeah, he was right.
do some homework before posting, loafs fan. - Katana777
they will move/demote players to become cap compliant once training camps open, and see who they want to move, like my original post said
Read previous comments before posting. Geez you'd think you blackhawk fans would be a little more easy going after 3 cups in 6 years |

You're completely out of touch if you think only Tampa is better than Bruins in the Atlantic. |

Lol, an Islanders fan with enough balls to talk some smack. Haven't seen many of you in a while, how's that 22 year playoff series victory drought comin' along?
We got plenty to be proud of, including a Bruins team that will return to its Cup contender form as it had been for the previous 4 seasons, and I'm confident we'll see another Cup in Boston soon. The Pats are awesome, as you know, and the greatest team and QB in the history of the game will be defending their 4th Superbowl. Good luck actually beating someone next post-season, you'll need it. Hope you're not a Jets fan |

Boston strong is over buddy.... its MassaCHEATSits now... get with the program. - Katana777
......I never said anything about Boston Strong. And it's not something that was initially equated to sports, it was for victims and families and a community of people who went through a horrific event. Cute effort at making a funny though, clearly you need to get with the f'ing program.
Your comment makes no sense in context to my original post. They lost a solid defenseman and are looking at all possibilities to try and replace him. Not sure on what grounds that constitutes negative response......are they supposed to just leave a gaping hole?
I understand you're trolling and all, but that was the hack of all hack responses.

LOL butchered. 2 players, one that wanted to leave.
Not like we built a new line out of Kassian and Semen.

So by stating the obvious in that the Bruins are nowhere near the team they were 3-5 ago makes people trolls? |

We lost our best D-man AND out best future potential player in Hamilton.
Kinda simple if you think about it. Hamilton isn't Bobby Orr or Nick Lidstrom or Ray.
But, he is 22 and has more "potential" upside than any player the Bs have right now..........simple.
And he was our best D-man last season........simple.
We need to replace him......simple.
We didn't have a good D last season even with Hamilton and needed to improve.........simple.
--------------------------
Who is going to slide into our "best D-man" spot to replace Hamilton............?
Who is going to slide into our "Johnny Rocket" top four spot..........?
Rookies and maybe an overpriced Vet.........but we are still a Cup contender?
EDIT: And we may give up more for a rental than we got for a potentil elite D-man (who is under our control, contrary to popular belief)
WTF.......!
How does that make any sense?
Hold pattern and rebuild! We blew it. Let's try not to prolong the pain at this point! |

Trading Hailton was a pointless move. Lucic only sealed the rivalry destruction. Rinaldo is a non factor. |
