Hayes is nothing more than third line center. Your welcome.
- Leniwm1

if he is a team's 3rd line center, they would probably win the presidents cup and be a period away from the SC finals.

Correct. But assuming Mr. Girardi plays well. And the captain needs to play more like Hedman, as in take control every time he's out there, then yes I can def agree with you.

And give my Devils a few years, 4-5 and a nice rivalry should be renewed.

Thinking about line combos and I wouldn't mind seeing Miller up with Nash and Brass.

Nash Brass Miller
Kreider Stepan Zucc
Etem Hayes Fast
Glass Moore Lindberg/Stalberg

with the Islanders moving into Brooklyn and on the cusp of being a contender for many years, the Devils can't afford to take 4-5 years to become relevant again. They are really going to become the forgotten team around here.

I'm happy for the ISLES and too bad they were forced out of Long Island, I liked Chang's plans for a new arena there but oh well. And they will only contend as long as Tavares is healthy, without him they are done.

Also, I don't know if you live in Jersey, but Devils will not be forgotten. People that don't live here have this weird outlook on the Devils. Hockey in NJ has skyrocketed since '95. I mean, its awesome. And with new ownership, new/fresh marketing, the Devils will be very relevant. They have sold out many games in the new place, so its not like people dont go. Its too damn expensive though. You guys can in city are lucky and can take train, or taxi to MSG, few bucks and there. We gotta pay like $30 for parking, plus driving in traffic, get mugged at stop light in Newark, its happened. It sucks dude. But I digress...

I am honestly ok with devils using next few years to lose and rebuild, i craved that for a few years already. Its too bad an awesome goalie like Schneider is gonna go to waste in this rebuild - at least in the beginning.

We were one proud person from getting McDavid - Lou will do everything to contend.

Hah, ya, Toronto's Lou. We had no business winning past few seasons but he bought bandaids like Jagr, Ryder, Clowe, Havlat and list goes on because he wanted to compete. If he realized where our team actually was he would have played the youth and lost many more games.

My theory, Toronto was already planned before last season. And he didnt want Devs to get 1 or 2 pick if his 'future' team could get one of em.

But its all good.

Everyone, go to church!

Wait, you honestly think Lou tried to screw over the Devils on purpose? Really?

Rangers don't want McDonagh crashing into his own goaltender for easy empty-netters -- like Hedman and Bishop.

Yeah, cause I'd be in jail for "Tania Harding" Joe Thornton's knee.

I remember Thorton calling NYR the softest club in the league and Torts flipped saying "what does he know, he's never won anything"

Hate Thornton. He isn't a "winner"

Girardi and McD are the least of our concerns... Im not sure what Ranger Team you may have watched the past few years, but neither of those guys have been the issue.

Putting the puck in the oppositions net was the issue

My only concern is if Zucc doesn't/can't return 100%. Then I see then shifting Hayes to his spot and Lindberg in at 3rd line center.

Lou screwed no one. But if you knew you were going to team A, and that team A had a real good shot at the next Lemieux, wouldn't you want him to make life easier. Don't forget, Lou is not a Devil no more. He wont be making decisions that help the Devils. So my point was if he knew he was going to Toronto, why draft Mcdavid as a Devil if you were leaving to a team that had a better chance?

Not hard to grasp.

Oh that's right, because that one incident made the rangers beat Tampa to make the finals... Oh wait...

BTW, you do have your own net crasher in Kreider, dirtiest little F**k in the game. He keeps making those crashes look like an accident someone will take his snobby head off.

Or maybe you just like to create drama for no reason? Lou was with the Devils for almost 30 years. I highly doubt the last year or so he was there all he was thinking about was how can I help the leafs

Hi, how are you today?

So, Lou screwed the Devils on purpose and Kreider purposely makes net crashing "look like an accident".

I love this guy

He will be gunning for Schneider this year.

Who is the backup Devil goalie?
