Ten minutes later and still on that article? You are a slow reader, or a slow "inputter." If it's the latter, don't sweat it, lots of chicks dig that.

Great read. It is pretty sad how our previous regime drafted, especially in this 2005 draft. We really didn't hit on any body until Chris Butler in the 4th.
With how the draft and scouting works now, its practically impossible to not have one of your first two picks crack the NHL at some point. What a failure.
However, I am all in on this GMTM wagon and believe in how he scouts and develops players. Super excited for this season, and I hope the rest of Sabres nation is too! |

would love to see one more veteran d and a veteran backup goalie before the season starts. other than that, im ready for some growing pains but hoping to be surprised. still not sure where goals are gonna come from, but i dont think we will get outshot 35-20 every game at least. |

Either way I guess . Was during an interview he was asked. pre game. - cabin
yeah...it was a pretty cool idea on his part...they ended up doing one of those classic lindy ruff playoff pushes and actually made it in...take out that cheap shot on Connolly by Richards and they probably make it to the second round |

I would love to see this exercise being done with all 30 teams in the league. |

nhl.com's joe yeardon was on hockeyhotline saying that murray will wait for a cap-strapped team to unload a good d-man, ala the ny islanders...that said, not too worried about what happens overall this season |

Seriously, Michael's blog here is exactly why Darcy needed to go! Shear odds alone would have had you drafting at least one decent NHL player per draft, and this guy managed to blow every pick. I mean if you would have put all the names of draft eligible players on a dart board and just thrown darts to make your picks, you would have done a better job at drafting then Darcy did. Yes, player development was also a problem, but WHO was in charge of hiring the coaches? That's right, Darcy was.
And please don't tell me Gerbe turned out to be a solid player, the guys a gnat. I don't want to hear about how he has all the heart of Rudy, he's a joke. |

The Sabres blew it by giving up a 2 goal lead at home. They lost that series by losing game 6, regardless of whether that Connolly hit happens or not. |

Very few people drafted where Gerbe was taken ever make the NHL. He might not be your favorite but at his best he was at least "solid".
