I thought Fios was getting out of WNY altogether. TV, internet, phone service, the works. Maybe I'm wrong on that.

The Verizon folks are striking right now. I've heard a few commercials. The employees are not happy and Verizon lied about expanding their coverage a few years ago when the employees were on strike last time.

That's interesting. My roommate works at Verizon Wireless and they had to send some people down to NYC to work so that the stores there didn't have to shut down due to the strike.

Doesn't really have any type of effect on my day though, so I couldn't care less.

I am now a little worried about the bills qb's

Thanks cab and Buff fan19. I have TWC and am getting sick of the cost for the service, no value for what I use it for. I'm keeping their internet service, just wanted a better product for the tv package for the cost.

Time Warner are crooks and their call centers suck. Never renew by phone. If you have a local cable office, go there and negotiate with them first, then decide. I went with my friend and the employee said never call the call centers. They are badly trained and don't know what they are doing. He got rid of all these weird charges she got and said they have a billing system that automatically does that. Then he matched Direct TV's offer with triple play.

How does that help you with sports though?

Also, if you want any sort of cable service channel (ESPN, MSG, etc., if you are in Buffalo), the only thing that works with XBMC is Verizon Fios because they don't flag/encrypt their channels. Time Warner does, and Comcast didn't last I knew.

The problem is that Fios is only available in certain areas, and Comcast isn't available in WNY at all.
