Got my seats booked for the Maple Leafs @ Sabres, sitting in the 106 section, decided to get up close to the action and just soak in the atmosphere and drink probably crappy beer.

Do I stay at the Adams Mark or Canalside Marriott, so far it is leaning towards the Marriott, seems to be quite a bit of a nicer hotel according to reviews or will stay in around Harbor Center suck and should I stay somewhere else ?

I've stayed there.....
It's just a dumpy hotel with a main office full of clown stuff. Probably the best thing about it is the sign and they super old graveyard next door to it.

Hey, like I said, I'm not trying to be a Richard here, but everyone on this site like to consider themselves fairly big Sabres fans but none of us has access to what goes down in Tim Murray's office. So if someone is going to comment about a deal that may or may not be going down, I think it's fair to ask them how do they know such a thing is happening? Doesn't mean it will happen, doesn't mean it won't, but unless you're sitting in Tim's office will this transaction is being worked out or have his phone tapped, where are you getting your intel from... Garth?

I would stay at the Courtyard Marriott. Had some friends that stayed there and said it was very nice. That particular type of Marriott is usually nice. Whenever I travel, I try to stay in that type of place. It's closer to the arena than the Adam's Mark as well. So I would say either the Canalside Marriott or the Courtyard.

I would stay at the Courtyard Marriott. Had some friends that stayed there and said it was very nice. That particular type of Marriott is usually nice. Whenever I travel, I try to stay in that type of place. It's closer to the arena than the Adam's Mark as well. So I would say either the Canalside Marriott or the Courtyard.

I have to say, I think it's pretty Effin Rad that you're coming all the way from Australia (one of my bucket list destinations) to take in a Sabres game. Even if you're in the states for other reasons, it makes me a bit more proud to be a Buffalonian and a Sabres fan. Wish I still lived there, I'd buy you a beer or 7.

It supposedly leaked from someone in the Sabres front office and I think there was some talk that there was also some pretty harsh reprimanding about the leak as well.
Thats pretty much the only tie most fans have to their organization....a friend or family member that works inside the organization.

The only plausible scenario at this point is a trade. There isn't anybody left in FA worth a click to consider so gotta think one of the cap strapped teams is looking to deal, although I doubt anything happens till camp or thereafter.

Thanks There is only 1 other guy in the entire Sunday league we play on that is a Sabres fan and he wants to punch me. This has been a long time coming and when I found out I was going to be in N.Y I was like nope, not missing it this time. Will be booking the Canalside, just looks too nice not too. Actually really looking forward to out 4 days there, Niagra Falls etc, but this is just going to be awesome, actually this time going into a city that the team I actually support is the main focus of that city!

Last time in Washington going into the National Archive, the security jokingly stopped me and said I had to take off the Sabres t-shirt before I could go in
