Not to change up the topic..just curious if anyone has any idea when the new guys (Kessel, Plotnikov, Bonino, Fehr, etc) are actually coming to Pittsburgh. Haven't even seen an official interview or anything yet....just curious..

Have you tried the favorite team setting? I did that last season and it recorded all the pens games for me.

Ah, I have not. Thanks for the tip...that will make my life so much easier. #firstworldproblems

Every time I see a Pens related Twitter account tweet I get all excited because I think it's involving a trade/signing but then it just ends up being about Crosby's summer camp and it crushes me

I believe the week before training camp is the general consensus for guys arriving. I read that Plotnikov might be running a little late for camp because of visas and other things, but that was when we just signed him so the situation might have changed.

Kessel's probably staying in Toronto the whole summer to work with Roberts.

Guys like Bonino and Fehr might already be here looking for houses and adjusting. Plus, I know Fehr has a kid, so they might have to be here for the start of the school year.

I'm not sure if the blackout policies have anything to do with the league. I always thought the blackout policies had more to do with the individual local cable companies such as Dolan and Cablevision. Funny thing is, I used to live in Honolulu and I ordered NHL Center Ice (this was 10 years ago), and my NY Ranger games were STILL blacked out live, not sure why...
- xcheckmajor

Don't the league enforce the blackouts to try & increase the live crowd for the games. They had that here but now it's well & truly gone - not sure if it affected the numbers attending but I'd say probably did.

Makes no sense at all blacking out games out of the suburbs the games are played. Outside 100 miles which would be over an hour to get to the game, it should be shown live if that is the reason. Technology these days allow them to do what they want so they should be able to show it precisely where they want - NYR games not shown in Hawaii - they're taking the piss! (even back then!).

Sutter 4.375 x 5 years. Something we could never do. JR looking very good on that deal before a puck is dropped.

To clarify a few things, there are a couple different packages. NHL GameCenter is an Internet based service that allows you to stream the games via Internet... Whether that's on your computer, tablet, phone, Apple TV (I think you can use apple TV?), etc... You can also watch replays of old games, compressed versions of games, highlight packages, yadda yadda. NHL Center Ice is a service offered through cable companies, to watch out of market games live. I've had both of the services in the past and Center Ice is a complete joke when compared to GameCenter. Don't even waste your time or money with Center Ice, as it is just that... both a complete waste of time and money.

GameCenter has settled a class action lawsuit and will be giving a discount this year to past purchasers. You can also purchase a package to watch out of market games for a single team this year at a 20% discount to the entire GameCenter package, upon which you'll also receive the discount from the class action lawsuit I believe. So it's not $20 a team, it's 20% less than what you'd pay to get ALL the teams. So not really that great of a value there.

BINGO!

To be fair we could do it very easily if he was worth it. He's just not.

Unfortunately I'm so busy that I can't come on here every day. Did you guys already discuss this Ek-esque rumour? http://thehockeypress.spo...o-montreal-canadiens.html
It says Kunitz and a 4th for Tom Gilbert, Torey Mitchell, Joonas Nattien(whoever that is) and a third. I think I like it. It's not terrible anyways. What do you think?

I don't understand it. Grover is a class act, obviously dedicated, and frankly he's good at his job. What the hell are they doing over there? Fired him over the phone too.

I guess the old adage.... "Give the customer what they want" is lost on Morehouse.

It's Nattinan and if he's part of it I really like this trade based on the clips I just watched on YouTube. Let's do it

Is Gilbert still a top 4 at this point? I like the idea of getting a D-man and 4th Liner C from Kunitz. Not sure this improves the entire team though

How not to run a NHL franchise:

1. Follow Ray Shero
2. Follow the Nucks

I'd like to see a side by side comparison of the Pens roster the day JR took over vs today. I never would have thought a GM could turn it around so fast.
