I hate the entire situation. No matter what the outcome is, it's horrible. Either he did it, which means he's a complete scumbag, or the woman is pissed at him and is now saying it wasn't consensual to spite him. It's a really sad situation no matter how you look at it.

Oh, I know. I get it. I've definitely done some things before that left me scratching my head wondering what the hell happened. Not to the point that I would feel it's necessary to go to the police though, thankfully.

No, but he's still a registered sex offender. I think he's finally past all the stuff that was part of his "sentence" but he's a registered sex offender the rest of his life.
