And these are the exact reasons why I've never been a big drinker. I'll get a buzz, but I don't allow myself to get completely drunk. There's too much of a chance that something bad happens when you don't have control of yourself. Whether it be to you or someone you're with. It's just not smart.

If I have to actively think about how I'm walking, then making decisions about things such as sleeping with someone or getting into a car and driving, then I shouldn't be making those kinds of decisions. The best answer at that point is "NO."

I feel like as a woman, I need to protect myself from being put in that kind of situation.

Now, we don't know if that's indeed what happened, and if it did, her being intoxicated doesn't make it right. But I think there's lot less of a chance of something bad happening if she wasn't.

I didnt know you were there, i was unaware she said no. To me it sounds like "female" was drunk hooked up with "male" and then regretted the situation. Not saying this happened or didnt but it could really go either way.

I feel either way guy or girl you need to be aware and not put yourself in that position.

I know when I was younger in college I was out drinking and doing stupid stuff. Was I getting raped no, im surprised I was never jumped robbed beat up etc. Ive also put myself in what could have been situations bringing a girl home fro the bag luckily for me I never got in trouble.

The amount of people I had in front of me on judicial board saying we both were drinking is mind blowing and it dosent make it ok

Exactly. These situations aren't generally as black and white as "no means no." And my guess would be the Kane one falls into that grey area as well.

The ID route wont work. It happens alot, innocent guys try to use the, they had an ID, they were in a bar, they have tattoos, they were smoking. All signs that they were over 18. But none of that holds up.

Yea everyone does, which is where the system is a little flawed, if im at bar and having drinks with someone i shouldnt have to think twice if there are over 18!

I ran the fraternal disciplinary committee in college and the one thing I always said is you are responsible if you put yourself in that position. Taking a girl home drunk is not a good position to be in. I don't care if both of you have been drinking you should no better.

When you have that much money, someone needs to take you aside (agent, parent) and tell you that you can have and do pretty much what ever you want, just to be smart about it. I doubt LaFontaine was an angel at 26, but its about how you present yourself to the public when you're a high priced, one of the best athletes in your league player.
