Tell me about it. My poor dog had some sort of allergic reaction to something last night. Gotta take him to the vet at 2:50 now.

I also slept terrible because he kept itching all night, even after I gave him 2 benedryl.

Sure is. You can give them 1mg per lb. So, my 60 lb dog can actually have 3. I only gave him 2 though. Then I gave him another one before I left the house this morning.

I wanted to work from home so I could keep an eye on him, but my boss never answered me this morning so I'm currently at work. I'm leaving whether he likes it or not at 2 so I can take my poor dog to the vet.

It's the universal cure for dogs, kind of like penicillin/amoxicillin is for people.
I gave it to my dog when she had a reaction to a rabies shot, worked great!!!

Ahh. Makes sense. I didn't notice that mine was having an issue until he wouldn't stop licking the back of his one leg when I was trying to go to bed. When I got up and checked to see what he was doing I noticed his belly and back legs were covered in bumps the size of a small gumball.

I don't think so, because the benadryl seems to have cleared those ones up for the most part. His face is still a bit swollen and he still has a few bumps on his belly/chest, but they're much smaller than they were last night. I'm sure he's probably going to be fine, but since this is the first time it's happened, I figure I should probably have the vet look at him to make sure.
