According to a bunch of writers on twitter, the NHLPA has finally ponied up and filed a grievance on behalf of Mike Richards. - johndewar
Bout time. No matter what he MAY have done, LA should not be able to terminate his contract until he is actually convicted of a crime.

Good. Bottom line is he hasn't even been charged. It's crazy that the nhl has allowed the Kings to terminate |

If Kane is found guilty of rape, he'd be going to jail. - Streit2ThePoint
And Chicago will be able to terminate his contract and gain $10.5m in cap space. |

Thoughts on Stoll to Rangers, not having to do with his cocaine issues but instead from a hockey standpoint? |

It's alright I guess. He's been declining offensively the past few years so I'm not sure he has much left in him. |

Well, we all know that the LA Kings planted the drugs on Richards. |

I agree. I also remember reading there was a late August deadline for the NHLPA to file the grievance, so the filing of the grievance might be perfunctory until more details come out.

Just wait for the next president to tank the US dollar with some wacky scheme. |

Not sure he gives them much more than a solid 4th line center. Best days are clearly behind him. Curious move considering the controversy and distractions it could cause. I don't see the risk vs reward balancing out. |

Very good faceoff guy, but he's lost a step and he was never fast to begin with.

Adam Hall? - jmatchett383
Yeah, at this point, unless he really steps up, pretty much.
Maybe a bit more offensive skill, but he is damn slow.

I think it's fair to say he has more offensive skill, don't know if Hall ever had a 20+ point season, much less a 40+ point season.
But yeah, at this point, they are pretty much the same player give and take from a few categories.
EDIT -- Did some research, Hall had 3 seasons with 20+ points, 02-03; 03-04; 05-06. 28, 27 and 29 respectively. |

Stoll, at one point, could reliably be counted on to put up 35-45 points per year. However, 2 years ago, in 70+ games, he put up 27. Last year, again in 70+ games, he put up 17. That is not a good trend.

Gudas was a top 6 on a team that went to the cup finals. They weren't particularly strong on the back end but they also weren't weak. He definitely has a place in this league. Rolling out a lineup that doesn't include both schenn and gudas leaves us unbelievably small verse some the bigger teams like the capitals. Schultz Medvedev streit mdz macdonald please tell me whose clearing your crease ? I don't think anyone takes into account how good grossman was was at moving bodies in front the yet. And until morin sanheim is ready we don't have any other physical forces in our system to do that. |
