Murray has consistently said that he was looking to build with players in the 24-26 yr. old range and he did so by trading for Evander Kane, Deslauriers, and Ryan O'Reilly (all 24 yrs. old) and adding 25 yr. old Zach Bogosian. He gave up some prospects and a pretty good NHL regular in Tyler Myers in the process but he was able to fill the void he was given and now has a new core that's young and has a wealth of NHL experience despite just entering their prime."
"Add in a young stud like Eichel, the second overall pick in the 2015 draft, two former first-rounders in Zemgus Girgensons (2012, 14th) and Rasmus Ristolainen (2013, 8th) as well as a solid veteran presence and the future, which begins this season, is looking pretty bright."
One individual is notably absent from this list of the "new core."

Rivet was acquired from San Jose.
Wasn't Weber also drafted between the periods reviewed?
Regier unfortunately was always better building/patching the roster by making small trades rather than having success drafting.
Stu Barnes for Matthew Barnaby
Rhett Warrener for Mike Wilson.
Daniel Briere for Chris Gratton. - jltalon
thx...damn big-boy job always taking up too much time |

Fantastic Four was ok
I am a fan of their comics and Dr Doom is my favorite bad guy
Started out with a lot of promise and then it seemed like they decided to race to the ending to make it 90 minutes instead of doing it right with another 15 minutes in length
my 2 cents - homiedclown
I thought it was solid...liked that they didn't have a long, drawn-out fight scene climax...gave the new actors a chance and it worked out well...unfortunately, they may never be able to replace chris evans as johnny storm...he played it to a "t" |

They fudged up with the Johnny Blaze casting IMO.
I get they why they'd want to but I mean come on really?
Just make a Luke Cage or Black Panther movie and call it a day.
I also never liked the Nick Fury change either. - dadeadhead
Johnny was fine in the movie I thought he was perfect everything in the movie was good for 30 minutes and then just went random |

I finally watched Million Ways to Die in the West last night. Definitely more entertaining than the piece of poop that is Ted. It had a lot of funny spots (not long, lingering laughter, but some good laughs), and overall it was fairly entertaining. Restores a bit of confidence in Macfarlane now..though he is still doing Ted 2... |
