With all this talk of trying to get Mathews - don't teams owe it to their fans to actually go out there and win

No, we actually want them to lose to be better in the long run!
No more quick fixes and finishing 9-12 in the conference. That ship has sailed and most fans can suck it up now and wait it out
Edit: I should clarify when I say most fans, I mean fans with a higher IQ of 0. |

Me and most other leaf fans feel it is necessary in the long run for the leafs to lose in the near future so we can be a better team down the road.
Our team is a mess.

I believe that each team should get the #1 pick once every 30 years
The first round selection order would be determined for the next 30 years
Rounds 2 through 7 would be based on standings position
Each team would know which year they are to chose #1 or # 20 and so on and so on
This would eliminate tanking as well |

I dont agree with number 2 but top 10 for sure. Either way leafs management finally has it together is building the team the right way. You can still pick up a few more nice picks with bozak or dion on the way too. Will be a rough couple years but when you turn the page the team will be stocked for years to come. |

Who the (frank) wants to see the Leafs win their games this season? I'll be happy if the Leafs are in the bottom 5, Rielly steps up his game and plays well and if our prospects are producing for whichever teams they play for (Marlies, Solar Bears, etc.)
Other than that, are people actually watching the Leafs this year expecting them to play well? Has anyone actually taken the time to look at that roster? |

I'd like all their prospects to have good years as well as their young roster players. The Leafs themselves are going to be a bottom three team almost for sure though. I'll be surprised if they score 180 goals |
