Nylander had a big year. Brown had a big year. Johnson had a big year.
Traded for Leipisic, Kapanen,Harrington.
Added Marner, Dermott,Bracco. couple 3rd rd prospects.
Easily top 10, I'd put em closer to 5. Jets,Yotes,Isles,Leafs,Oilers (who will drop way down when mcdavid loses eligibility) would be my top 5 in no particular order - GardinerExpress
Only three of the laughs prospects mentioned could be considered a top prospects, really only two.
The rest are average to ok prospects. Not a deep pool at all |

Name 2 other teams with 3 elite prospects right now ranked below the Leafs.
Again I agree 2nd is probably a stretch, but 4-5 seems about right. |

Id say 4th at worste right now honestly. Arizona is probably ahead of us.
Hell if nurse, McDavid, draisaitll, Eichel and Reinhart all make the NHL this year, which they probably will, Oilers and Sabres both drop out of the top 5 if not top 10 all together. - Big_Lightnin
Arizona, Sabres, Edmonton, isles, jets, Columbus, Detroit,
With jets easily being tops |

You state that like it's a fact, when it's actually just your opinion.
I happen to completely disagree with your assessment. But that's okay, because it's an opinion as well.

I said 6th..... But 5 wouldn't be a stretch at all.
Either way who cares, I remember when we had the youngest and fastest team in the league.... Means nothing until it translate to success on the ice.
Right now it's all maybes and what ifs.......which is what it has been for years.
We'll see how it plays out |

The more what ifs and more better what ifs you have the better.
It's certainly improved within this past year. With possible trades and more picks this coming year it will improve even more coming up. |

Oh for sure, but leafs added basically an additional drafts worth of prospects through trades his year, 3 of whom are expected to be contributing NHlers.
If they can achieve similar additions next summer, this is going to be a fun team to watch in a 3 years. |

it's really hard to judge this stuff, especially for us fans, because we know NOTHING of other teams' prospect pools outside of the top 5-10 overall picks. |

I agree with this, plus team bias is going to ensure we always think our own prospects have a real shot at being quality NHLers.
None of us really have a (frank)ing clue, though |

And we might have their 1st and 2nd next summer too
Oh boy they will be 4 straight drafts without adding a 1st rounder, and only 1 2nd rounder (well 2 but 1 was a goalie) |
