Exactly 8 weeks (56 days) until the Flyers open the season in Tampa. But who's counting?

missed Chi town, will be at lockn
did you see the line up?
 - Marc D
Yeah that is going to be fun! Phil and Santana. Wish I could go but I hit "Dear Jerry" and the last night in Chicago so if I hit Lockn, between work and wife someone would give me the pink slip for sure.
I am hoping the "Dead and Company" thing comes near my neck of the woods. Not to keen on John Mayer but I can be open minded for a show. Rumors say that they have a 21 date tour in the works. Fingers crossed.
Also looking at Saturday 12/19 Columbus for my annual flyers game. |

YES. fare thee well was magnificent. Most fun experience of.my.life - benjichronic
Yeah it was up there. I might put Garcia Band Rochester '91, Dead Albany '93, or Dead Boston Gahden '94 higher on the fun experience list, but I'll be damned if I hadn't needed something like Fare Thee Well for about 20 years.

It was much much needed. Never been to a dead show before that, so I truly can't say that I've seen a real dead show. Plenty of phish and widespread panic, but never dead. It was (frank)ing awesome though.

Yeah that is a sweet looking show. That whole fall '89 tour was on fire. Sadly I didn't get into the spectrum for a Dead show (despite my avatard). I was in there for a few post-Jerry Dead family shows, but never for the real deal. Lived in upstate NY at the time and just never made it down ... though I caught a few at RFK and I made it outwest for Vegas and Seattle in '95 ... that road trip might be the most fun expeience of my life, totally enhance by the fact that I saw the Dead and stayed out of jail while also seeing some cool parts of the USA!

Not only was the setlist awesome, but it was just one of those nights that the entire band was just on. Loved every song!

awesome blog bill. clarke is a living legend through and through. as a gm i think his legacy is a bit hamstrung because in the 90's and 2000's he failed to bring in that franchise goalie, the final piece they needed to get over the top. Ironically we have one now but we have to hope his play holds up while prospects develop. never a dull moment or easy ride in flyer land. |
