I see. They waived him and it was expected the next step was a buyout, then Richards got busted with classified government documents, a backpack full of heroin, a goalie pad stuffed with cocaine, the body of a Buffalo cabbie, and 2 tickets to a Justin Bieber concert. The Kings were outraged, and terminated his contract instead.

Good. They'll be ready for ufa just as they enter the league - PhillySportsGuy
Don't know if any of you care, but the trailer for Tarantino's The Hateful Eight is out. Pretty sure it's gonna be badass. And there was a bit of drama surrounding it - somebody leaked the script and Tarantino got all bent, said he wasn't going to make it, but here it is.
He won't see much PP time right now unless it's on the 2nd unit and even that might be hard to come by - ob18
Yes, I'm using the supposition that he'd be closer to ready if he didn't get hurt. I think that he'll see a lot of ice time in the AHL to start and could be a candidate to move up around the middle of the season

With Morin, I'd rather not see him unless they have so many injuries they're playing Read on D...or if he's playing so well he forces them to keep him - Jsaquella
I think unless he has the camp of his life, he'll be in the minors as well to start the season.

Even if he has the best camp ever, I'd still want to see them resist temptation and send him down. The step up from the Q to the NHL is just huge.

I'm no avid CHL watcher, but the couple times I saw Morin during the Memorial Cup, I couldn't help but notice an overly safe, hot potato puck tendency. Not that his passes were bad, anything but, rather he just had seemed to have some hesitancies when the puck hit his stick. He's not ever going to be a magician back there, but I hope a good stay at the AHL helps him work on his confidence with the puck/in the o zone. He's capable of more, and big minutes in the AHL will help bring that out of him I think.

He's had yips and other games where he seemed fine with the puck. It's a work in progress, and hopefully the Flyers will be patient.
