Nucker always wanted to blog . Maybe Carol can take the little guy under her bosom and show him the ropes.
She wouldn't have to worry about him being there because he cheers for the other team. |

Nothing is stopping him. He has his perspective and is able to present his view point in a clear manner. I'd read it if it as long as it wasn't all stats and corsi. I like other perspectives and good discussion. |

I was thinking I had read one before. I applaud just about anyone who sticks their neck out there and opens themselves up, to some extent, to criticism and ridicule.
The toughest part about the summer is waiting to see the on ice impact from all the roster moves. Lots of predictions, but nothing actually happening.

Maybe Benning with his great negotiating skills could trade Carol for James Tanner and we could go full tank mode. - A_SteamingLombardi
My first on purpose flag, and it's an enthusiastic one. If HockeyBuzz is a NHL Jersey than Tanner is the giant ad on that jersey. Sure the blog would get extra hits, but at what cost? |

He doesn't like the direction of the team. Benning is either a genius or a mad man. Need to wait and see. |

Sounds about right. I was on board with that lineup right until he got to Errorhoff. |

Although Cassels is at least 2 years away. I think Grenier is 4C.
Still think Gaunce is a long shot on 4th. |

I didn't know Grenier played centre. Someone suggested Prust could also play 4th line centre. Vey could play that position and maybe have Sutter or Horvat come out for some important face-offs and then switch.
I wouldn't be writing off Gaunce. Hoping he works on his skating. He has good hockey sense, might work out on the wing. |

I think this is more realistic. I don't think Dank will get moved to 2nd line center but... I'd like to see it happen. I think he's holding Hank back.
Burrows Hank Vrbata
Baertschi Dank Hansen
Prust Sutter Vey
Higgins Horvat Dorsett
Kenins
Edler Tanev
Hamhuis Sbisa
Sbisa Bartowski

This puts Sutter at his more suited 3C position with some grit and speed and lets Horvat develop more at 4C with grit and another solid player in Higgins, without undue pressure of a 2C role.
Young players need to develop in the AHL. I don't want to see any recent draft picks in the lineup at this point. Maybe next year. Gaunce if he has what it takes can come up on the 4th line after the TDL when Higgins gets shipped out for a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Jensen can either show he wants to play in N.America or can be traded for some kind of project player... |

This is exactly the type of discussion that gets me excited for training camp in a couple weeks. Who knows who's going to come in, having worked all summer long, and blow away the competition. For all we know, Jensen has been hard at work, and shows well at the camp. Like wise for Shinkaruk.
At this point anything is possible, however small the possibility might be, and that poop gets me excited.

Thanks, as always, for all the kind words and positive feedback. Always nice to read when I pop in to see which way the winds are blowing in here.
Today's blog: Alex Burrows understands and likes the moves that the teams are making. And more on Boeser.
