Nothing about it will change
They are not renovating any time soon
the fans won t be less of a drunken mob then they always do
nothing will change one bit |

Zacha won't even sniff the calder. Three man race between McD, Bennett, and Eichel(bit of an underdog). Unless someone comes from left field ala Gaudreau imo |
|
|
|
I could easily see the Leafs as bottom three in the league. They lost a legitimate top 5 player at his position and replaced him with poop |

i love the home game experience. I guess it depends on where you are sitting. Behind the field goal posts can get insane. But sitting at the first row on the 40 yard line in the 300's is a blast. A bunch of great people in my area. |

ID put my list up against hat one
Eichel wont win it
Bennett is my best and the rest of my list to follow
SHoul McDavid win it yes but you could say the same thing about all their other top picks so till they start winning ill look elsewhere. |

I'm a huge Bennett fan I think the guy is already a stud. Keep in mind the only reason the guy missed time was cuz he was trying to play through a shoulder injury all season and combine (the reason he failed to do a pull up) and the team made him get that done |

I don't see who you could say someone who has a shot at top line mis doesn't have a shot.
I don't see anyone other than kane scoring enough to give Eichel the Assist points
Paranin will be with greta line mates
Domi could be a 1C potentially or on the wing on the top line
I could se Nylander getting a ton of mins in Toronto
DallColle should be up |

Don't discount the talent around him as why he will put up a ton of points |

New Jersey lists 6 guys as centers on their roster. You think he's going to be better than all of them them the same year as his draft year and as a 6th overall? Even if he did do that what forward would score for him? I don't see it not this year.
I think the same argument goes for Domi. Going to be a great player, but does not have the top line talent in Phoenix while playing against top lines to succeed.
I think the problem with your argument is that minutes = points which generally is true, but we're talking about rookies that a lot of times need to be given sheltered minutes with good line mates to succeed. Out of that list I could see Parinin doing well based on the situation he is in, although I know little about him as a player. I like Marko Dano in Chicago.
As for Eichel, I agree he probably won't win, but Kane, Ennis, Moulson, Girgs any of them could be solid wingers for him |

also why I like him. Calgary made some good additions with Hamilton and Frolik |

DuClair-Vermette-Domi is not a bad line at all
Elias Henrique Zacha cold put up points
Keep in mind I didn't say these were locks yes it would be easy to say mcdavid and Bennett and call it a day but have arguments on how other could do it.
In honesty Nurse could have a bigger impact then Mcdavid |

Fair enough for the sake of the argument:
Vermette should not not be anyones top line center. That new Jersey line could do well assuming zacha is as good as you think he is. Huge Nurse fan I think he will be huge for them( but not win the calder) |

Huddler is a solid 50pt guy, but shot 20% last season. He isn't replicating that |

2nd
BOedeker-Hanzel-Doan
neither should be 1cs
may sound weird but Zacha would do greta on sj ari or win teams who have some d men who shoot often and he can clean up around the net |

Last year the Flames were one of the few teams to ever make the playoffs with a sub 50% cross percentage. They also had a crazy amount of come-from-behind wins in the third period so they got kind of lucky. They are a lot of analytic's guys pick to fall back this year, although they did add outstanding possession players in Hamilton and Frolik |

Very few young defensemen have impacts like ekblad last season, or myers in his rookie season.
I agree he could have a huge impact for edmonton but that would presumably be helping mcdavid even further. I see what youre saying about other top picks not winning it all the time, but there hasnt been a top pick like mcdavid since crosby, and he lost only lost the calder because of the lockout, allowing ovechkins rookie season to slide into his.
Mackinnon won it two seasons ago and he wasnt nearly as touted as top overall as mcdavid. With ekblad that makes two 1st overalls to win it in a row. |

The only place you aren't going to be embarrassed are in the Jim Kelly Club and the one across from it (Paul Maguire?) and down on the 100 level between the 40s, maybe the 30s. In other words, you need to sit with people that have money.
When it comes to Bills games, the same blue collar fanbase which rightfully give us the reputation of being so loyal can also be an embarrassment when it comes to common decency. |
