Hey Bill,
Was just curios of you thoughts on any players the Flyers might have interest in or even if they have interest, bringing in on a PTO?

I could really see Briere as a great fit for a role in player development similar to Lappy's first role with the organization.
I know there is not really a vacancy right now, but the quick transitions of Giroux and Couturier as pros under his guidance lead me to believe he has a knack for working with young players. |

Flyers prospects Shayne Gostisbehere, Samuel Morin and Anthony Stolarz will be at the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday to lead a street hockey clinic
Ghost is going to look like a dwarf between those 2!

Well, I guess the odds are better than that of the Phillies to win the World Series.

Happy 63rd birthday wishes go out to soon-to-be-inducted Flyers Hall of Fame defenseman Jim Watson. Far and away the best homegrown defenseman in Flyers team history, Watson was a five-time NHL All-Star, a member of Team Canada at the 1976 Canada Cup and is the owner of two Stanley Cup rings.
I was lucky enough to meet and have a conversation with Jimmy Watson at an event the day after the Winter Classic Alumni game. Probably one of the nicest 5 time all stars you will ever meet in any sport. |

Would he be willing to work at Lehigh Valley a few days a week? It's nice to have the AHL team a bit closer to home. |

Right now, they apparently have no plans to offer PTOs.... that could change, of course.

Flyers going 82-0 this year.

Might as well top it off with a Cup Final sweep . |

I see something more along the lines as taking the occasional trip(Lehigh Valley & other NA Junior hockey cities) to visit and familiarize himself with different young players in the organization. Most of his other work could be based out of Philadelphia including prospect & training camps and acclimation of young NHL pros. |

haha. Come on Bill, that's not how the story goes. Although, if they win one, by any means, the bucket list is done. |

"The flyers have come to an agreement with Danny briere as a special rookie development coach. Briere will make his basement available to any flyers rookie who demonstrates the ability to play with the flyers. Briere will provide such services as monitoring closely the rookies' nhl 16 development skills, specialized training on microwaveable meal preparement, and will sharpen the rookies math skills through cross training with briere's kids homework" |

Bill.... A hockey expert like yourself should know that a scf sweep is completely unreasonable. They obviously will go 82-0 like jmatchett said, and they'll probably go 16-1 , with one loss in the scf. Duh. - benjichronic
As Giroux goes for the tap-in goal with 2 seconds left to put them ahead and give them win #16, the very fabric of existence will be torn to shreds. The only thing remaining in the universe will be a slight murmur that sounds like the laugh of Leon Stickle. |

Thanks Bill. Great write up on Dupre. In addition, everyone knows the Pelle Lindbergh's story. Without sounding too morbid, could you cover other Flyers that had their careers cut short?
Two thumbs up for Danny B. Great career, great person, and a great commercial where he shot the puck at warehouse windows...lol. I hope that you find the next chapter in your hockey life soon.

Most likely the Kings, so we can hear about how the Kings won the trade. Carter with GWGs in games 4-6 and Mike Richards with a 5-on-3 SHG to win Game 7. |
