I do watch them on occasion and Berglund is a waste of talent. All the tools but...he still finds a way to do nothing.

What I meant is that he's versatile, can be moved up and down the line-up. If he gets traded and is properly used as a 2nd or 3rd line centre, he could still fill in on the top line in a pinch. He has tons of experience playing against other teams' best players.

He can't move up and down the line up. He's never played anything other than top-line centre in the NHL and produced like a mediocre second line centre doing it. So you put him as a third line centre and he barely produces more than a third line centre whilst playing as a top line guy, it seems logical that his production would drop even further.

Seems stupid for the Devils if you ask me. We are no where near the cap ceiling we don't need to get rid of clowe and I believe his contract might be insured anyways.

The only way Toronto and nj are good trade partners is if nj is sending a young defense prospect for a young forward prospect. Other then that it makes little sense for two rebuilding teams to trade with each other since they are probably seeking the same types of assets.

Agreed Clowe doesn't make sense.

i could see some type of lateral move between the leafs/devils based on Shero not wanting some of Lou's holdovers and Lou wanting to grab a veteran or two he knows from the Devils' roster.

Wouldn't expect anything too earth shattering.
