I'm not sure SJ is a club we should be comparing ourselves to. The team just feels apathetic and the fans see and feel that too. I think they are all waiting for MGT to be flushed.

LA's up there too, a peg or two down and maybe dropping fast, and while Anahiem is damn good, so were the Sharks 5 years ago and they never even came all that close to getting it done. As for the Sharks of today, I think that the Canucks will finish above them. All they are missing is a surprise Torts hiring.

I think coaching was and is the least of their problems. We've been there. We also fired a good coach because our GM wasn't able to do his job.

Well Canuck fans might be focused on it; however, my point is that I don't think those teams have given the Canucks much thought in the last few years.

If I was a fan of any other team the finger incident would have been hilarious. But I'm not, so I hated it. It represented everything wrong with this team. So Henrik isn't the type of guy to respond, ok, fair enough, but no one has his back? I agree with Vantel on one thing, this team has no push back and so they get pushed around.

That is a challenge with the Sedins as leaders. They are turn the other cheek sort of players, and just play through a lot of the cheap stuff. Seldom react or push back except by scoring.

Would like to know what actually went down with the Bieksa to San Jose trade, he was probably trying to pull one over on JB for the 2nd rounder in 2016. One would think they had to be clear on that if he was there house shopping.

Definitely the most realistic line-up, but, come one, use a little imagination. We're here to fantasize about the great year the Canucks are about to have. Lord knows we won't be able to do it once the season starts.

Canucks aren't going to be push overs anymore. Benning is building a different type of team thats for sure. Camp will be interesting. See who makes it and who doesn't. One thing is for sure, 1 or 2 more vets will likely be moved this year. A gradual turnover seems the right way to go.

If you read that article that was posted on Nucks Misconduct yesterday, you'll notice that people are choosing one or two moves to judge this regime on. They've made so many moves now that the majority of the team is new players! Bloggers have to write about something so I guess latching on to a narrative for an entire summer is just business as usual.

I agree with you inasmuch that I also don't think the Canucks will suck. Although I do think that making the playoffs will be a season-long challenge. There is so much parity now that it is impossible to predict what will happen. For all we know, the reemergence of the Kings, and solid play from the Sharks, Calgary, and Vancouver pushes a team like Anaheim out of contention. The same thing can happen to any number of teams in the western conference, including the Canucks. I think that drama just makes for better hockey on the ice and more intriguing stories off the ice. It should be an exciting season.
