Have you ever stood next to Joe in shoes? Let alone skates???

I agree it's everything that's wrong with the Canucks. Guys like Prust won't stand for it. Guarantee you that.

I don't get how guys complain that there's no push back, but then they $itch about bringing Prust when we have Dorsett. Absolute Facepalm. We need these guys to protect the younger players coming in and bring the pushback. Dorsetts hands must have been like a bag of smashed potato chips by the end of the season.

Virtanen doesn't need any protection. The day Kesler steps up on him is a day he will regret lmao.

I didn't love the trade, but more as a value in value out consideration. I actually look forward to seeing Prust play.

Well, just put the mother in-law into the car as Mrs. Marwood takes her home and I'm, now going to smoke an ungodly amount of hash.

I can accept that the Sedins don't play that type of game, but I can't accept that you allow that to happen to your damn captain. That poop won't fly once we have Lucic and Virtanen on the team.

BTW, If any of you guys want the new puck and skate jersey when they drop in 2016, let me know. I get 20% off merch with my membership card. I'm grabbing a Horvat.

Bieksa is gone now. Forever watching the Sedins get cheap shotted and harassed yet he would chase a guy around all night who gave him a poke. Always was self centered.

Bieksa was often over matched.

Not just in fights but just trying to clear the front of the net, he'd be pushing a bigger player, but that player isn't moving, yet Bieksa's feet are moving like in a Flintstones cartoon, not getting any traction.

He lost some of his effectiveness the last few years and was more willing to drop'em earlier in his career... glad he was here, glad he is now gone.

I don't think those Southern Teams really see the Canucks as a rival. Perhaps as an old nemesis they enjoy pi$$ing on. Much the same way that Chicago does.
- rugdnit

no doubt you are clueless.. up until after the 2011-2012 season the Canucks pwned california... some idiots like to think a season or two is somehow being owned... the Nux were something like 14-1 against the sharks over the course of 3-4 seasons. in any case it was a lot of wins in the Nux favour. wasn't as dramatic with Ana or LA but the Nux were still in the money against them.

not so much anymore. so dont get ahead of yourself.

when sharks fans (female) are basically putting nux fans (female) in the hospital by beating on them during the game, you know there's a rivalry.

That tends to happen when you have tree stanleys cups in your hears.

I was in the building a few times in SJ last year... I don't think it's the same as it was.

- rugdnit

is that right. maybe they remember everytime they think back to what could have been if they weren't bounced in game seven o/t of the first round...

if they win that game, they would have likely been the ones going to the final.

Agree. Bieksa will be fine on a team like Anaheim. His game is more of a roll-player now rather than a lead character. His mistakes will be greatly reduced because he won't be put into as many critical situations.

It is interesting, the dynamics of a team and what they can pay for. Bieksa got a raise and will likely be in a lesser role than what he had here.

Cocky kids can get themselves into situations they aren't ready for.

When that time comes we will see I suppose.

Regardless... I am sure they are not going to sit around and cry about not having 4 in 6.

Tree... Is still better than losing horifically in 7.

But how did we do on the trade? And what other players were available to the Sharks that they could have signed instead to address their needs?

My point, that I at least found interesting, teams are in different positions. Some are lucky to have younger players on lesser salaries filling needs and creating more cap space to pay a premium to others to fill other roles.

Show me a successful team where everyone is getting paid the right amount, no overpayments, and I'm guessing they have a unicorn as their mascot.

Not to mention his partner likely wont be Sbisa. Juice had some great years here but is getting older and less effective, add playing him primarily with one of the most erratic defenseman in the league and you are going to look pretty bad.

I'm not sure Bieksa will be able to play 22 min a night like Beachemin did last year but the ducks don't really need him to with the emergence of many young D. He will be solid in a 3rd pairing leadership role.

I like the idea of lucic and Virtanen. Create lots of room for sedins for sure.

Although I wouldnt expect lucic tomplay like he did in boston. He doesnt have a license for murder anymore.

Henrik I have actually witnessed getting cheap shots in on players. I remember him kneeing a guy in the head that he was pissed with this past season. I also remember facing LA and him punching brown in the nose and bloodying it as he skated by with the puck. It followed brown boarding daniel. Its subtle compared to some but there. I love watching henrik get firey like that, not only does he become the best player on the ice he gets physical. And firey henrik is an awesome henrik
