I look at every move they made this year including Kassian and fans and media are ready to put Benning on a stake and roast him.

Kassians best year here he had 14 goals 15 assists yet this year you would have thought we just traded Gretzky

I know....as I've said before, I like the kid, but he's never in parts of four seasons helped the club win in any way. He's a loose canon, it was time for him to go!

Offensively yes, he doesn't put up 40 point seasons any more. But defensively, I think he's now a better player than he used to be. Their defensive depth is so poor trading him at this point would be a bad idea given they're trying to compete. Also, as I mentioned, I don't believe he wants to get traded...which makes it very difficult to move him.

If he was a 3/4 D then I don't mind him on the roster. We need a big tough guy and a PMD as the 1/2

I'm warming up to this deal. We needed to be better on the dot and he's a much better skater than Bonino, he'll help in these areas plus it takes any added pressure off Horvat to take on the second line role.

That being said, Drew Doughty has played 524 games in the NHL and has 267 points, Alex Edler has played 568 games and has 259 points....that's a lot closer than I'd have first thought!!

True - but Edler had a serious back injury and he is three and a half years older than Doughty. At 25 years of age Doughty put up 46 points, at the same age Edler put up 49.
