You don't seem to understand the difference between objective and subjective points of view. Perhaps you should google it. There isn't a formula to rank every player in the NHL. You won't even get unanimous agreement on who the best player is. Carol believes the Sedins are still in the top 50 and makes her case for it. That's all. - CubanBuffet

Worst thing to do is engage in a debate with the guy. If you don't answer him you simply don't care. |

He's on the same level as prock, brings nothing to discussions... Unless a grenade to blow up the thread can be considered something.

you dont need a formula to understand that the sedins are past their prime and do not deserve to be on a top 50 list of current NHL players.
carol thinks that the sedins should be in the list because of their past success, which is irrelevant in this case. does the sedins putting up 100+ points a few years ago mean anything for their production next season?
the fact is, there are 50 players that are better than them when you factor in age.
i would agree if this was just a list based on value for next season, then yes you can argue the sedins should definitely be on it. but the fact remains that they are 35 this year and are clearly declining and no longer capable of putting up ppg numbers.
you can flag me all you want but that doesnt change the fact that i'm right. |

it's funny that my posts directly relate to the thread, and i'm using facts to back them up.
where as a bunch of posts after mine are all hateful and contribute nothing positive to this thread.
yet for some reason i'm the one that brings nothing to discussions?

You do realize that they just both came off of a season where they finished top 10 in league scoring, right? So even if they take a step back, they could still finish top 20 or top 25 in scoring while having dominant possession numbers which easily makes them top 50 players.
Projecting a player who just finished top 10 in scoring to drop off that dramatically is pretty bold regardless of age. And if this list is based on who GM's would want on their team moving forward and not just who's the better player now then McDavid should be top 10...it's not a list based on potential and what's going to happen 2-3 years from now. The facts back it up, they're top 50 players. I'll take the FACTS over some hater's OPINION any (frank)ing day of the week. Not all players age the same, otherwise it'd be pretty easy to become a scout/GM.
It's like me saying William Nylander will bust because he's too soft and mentally weak, it's just a random opinion when, the facts actually suggest he's a fantastic prospect.
You're arguments and opinions can't be passed off for facts, literally all you keep going off about is age with nothing else to back you up. A very foolish and stupid argument.
You're wrong and it's not even close.

This isn't a fact. It's an opinion. In other words, the exact same thing that you were criticizing Carol for. Either way, I've learned my lesson. The rest of the thread is right, you're not worth responding to. |

So who else can we link to the Canucks to talk about?
Would the club ever consider bringing in a Tlsuty or Bergenheim for 3rd line centre and leave Bo as 4th line centre? Or as 4th line centre? 1 year at 1.5 or less?
I thought Fehr would have been an interesting option before he was signed by the Pens.
