Signed my son up yesterday. CPS alotted 3 hours of my day to pay a fee and submit 4 forms. Sitting thru a 20 minute of a "pep rally" type speech and 40 minutes to pay and drop 4 papers in a box, at 50 years old I technically cut 2 classes

So the rape kit comes back negative, and the witnesses/victims statements don't add up. Then why is there a plea at all? Shouldn't it just go away?

But the plea would be for battery. The lowest of all charges.

Why is everyone here seem so fixated on Buff and Lowry? If there is a prospect to get from Winnipeg it would be Ehlers. That is not a deal that would be acceptable for Kane. If there is a Crawford deal with a prospect involved he would be the one to grab. I could live with Pavelec if Ehlers was involved.

This. While Buff is offensively talented, he's a liablility in the defensive zone...constantly running around and out of position. No thanks.

And this is a year where most fans will come to see just how valuable Coach Q is to the Blackhawks, and integral to their success. He has a system that is not difficult to understand, but taxing to play. Players have to be 100% committed to make team defence work, and still be able to generate scoring chances. This is why Bowman brought in the players that he did (although we don't know enough about Panarin), Anisimov, Dano, Daley and Garbutt are all hard working, two way players that have demonstrated tenacity. Even without Kane, this team will win more than it loses because of our system, our goaltending, our top 4 defencemen and the depth of our forwards and their tenacity.

Q is underrated as a coach imho.

He is either going to be re-signed, or traded at the deadline.

I have a hard time believing the Blues will just walk away from him after the year. And get nothing. He would be able to command a contact similar to Keslers deal, which is too much.

I guess we could also trade his rights in the off-season.... but I don't like that scenario.

Me and the rest of the Pious Posse have voted early and often as our history of Kane hatred is lengthy and well documented.

It's great that Org's like the Hawks take into consideration and act upon opinions expressed on message boards like this one. Hopefully we will finally be rid of that imp as none of us value anything he's done to help us win three Cups. It was a shame the Hawks ever wasted a pick on the kid.

From what I remember, weren't you part of the group think that had the Hawks coming nowhere near a third Stanley Cup win?

I remember cause I wasn't part of that GROUPTHINK and you were definitley opposed to the mere thought of the Hawks winning anything unless I'm mistaking you for another guy (there were lots of them here)...but I don't think so.

I guess from your perspective, group think's ok as long as you're part of it.

I think its worth gambling on keeping Kane. I think there's a greater chance of keeping him and sustaining a dynasty(including the probability of him potentially getting in trouble again....) than there is of trading him and sustaining a dynasty without worry about what any of our players are doing off ice.

Imagine trading him, getting worse, and watching him tear up the league for some other team while they market his rebirth and maturation. I cant stomach the thought of that.
