I think Rocky has allready given the orders for Stan to shop Kane. Stan will now be a commodity trader. He probably has by now 15 short sale offers. When the bell rings ( and it will shortly ) , Stan will be selling high for profitable returns. |

I'm not any of them, but I'm happy to report I have heard no rumors and I dont have to fly for 2 weeks.
that is all
edit: oh yeah, almost forgot....reliable source, who shall remain unnamed to protect sources, stated it was bowmans fault for the screw up on qualifying offers years back - Confederate
You are not reporting anything new.
Dale Tallon was never known as an office paperwork type of G.M.. Stan Bowman's job as his assistant G.M. was to manage the cap and the paperwork that went with the job.
It was Stan that missed the deadline, but most people hung the error on Tallon. It was a convenient excuse for Scottie to push Tallon out the door and get his son promoted. |

Isn't the whole Kane situation baseless rumor? why does this bother you?

It was Tallon who came into the office after 36 holes and ten rounds at the nineteenth hole who pushed the contracts at Jr. and coined the popular phrase "get er done Stan!" |

No, one of the reasons he MAY be traded, even if nothing sticks, is that the Blackhawks have no way of knowing if PK gets in trouble again in the future . And his history indicates that another incident is just around the corner, no matter his 'assurances' to the team.
Say nothing sticks and they keep him. And then in February 2016 he beats up a cabbie/gets drunk with college girls/exposes himself in a bar/ swings from the rafters with a Hooters girl/takes hostages. What's he worth then? And based on his history, how can the Blackhawks have confidence he won't go off the rails again?
The Blackhawks are now basically using game theory to determine their optimal move. And it MAY mean that moving a volatile asset for more stable assets gives the team the best chance to win.
- scottak
Taking that statement one step further, the Hawks should trade every player, because they don't know anyone will get into trouble in the future.

Assuming he is not charged. Which do you see as the most likely scenerio?
League suspends Kane- If so what grounds, COC?
Blackhawks suspend Kane
Civil suit is filed or a settlement is reached
IMO moving Kane now is ridiculous. The return is not at its highest in fact it does not get much lower. In the future the liklyhood is much more probable they get a max return and again that is assuming he keeps his nose clean. But at that time why would they? - Cup-Bearer
He does a public rehab, agrees to continue with AA, if stops going to AA then gonzo. I would suspect that to be the most likely scenario if not charged.
Or the Derek Rose thing blows up and everyone gets distracted by that and kind of forgets about Patrick Kane. |

Rose's situation has extortion written all over it. TWO YEARS later? Really?
Then some pud-whack on 670 this morning said he was going to get rid of his Adidas shoes. Not Rose-branded shoes, just regular Adidas. This hyper-sensitive-walking-around-looking-to-be-offended crap would be funny if it were not so sad.
Been thinking more about Kaner's situation. And I believe we'll see the 'Hawks go to camp and the Kane situation is resolved. No criminal charges. Team and Kane will have "agreed" upon some type of "fix", and the bribe settlement will have been complete, thus concluding the civil side.

Seems to me that if he is not charged and goes into public rehab, the public will think he just got way with something. I'm not saying he should or shouldn't be in rehab, but going in after this situation is putting forth the idea that something did happen and it was because of substance abuse. |

Some will have doubts if he's cleared no matter what. If he truly does have a drinking problem, in-patient care is part of the Joint NHL/NHLPA Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health Program (SABH) and I would hope he has hit bottom with this last incident and he takes advantage of it. |

The mockery of a website is running a rumor of a meeting tomorrow between the NHL, the Blackhawks and potentially Brisson (Kane's agent). It this the blind squirrel's acorn or another squirrelly and baseless rumor?
http://sportsmockery.com/...ecide-patrick-kanes-fate/ - Marlowe
If true, it might support the other rumor that something is about to break as far as an actual charge.

I think I agree with JJ here and while there will likely need to be rehab and commitment to change that is formal and verifiable by the team I don't think it will be public. To be real and meaningful change is what's required (per folks with access to FO sources) not public rehab. My 2 cents, which is maybe what it's worth.
Thanks guys for the levity surrounding Paul's dimensions, choice of shirt and dining options. Really needed the laugh. |

And when real money is involved, I mean REAL money, you go by what the track record of the player tells you, not these kind of peripatetic arguments. Sorry, don't mean to be a jerk. But I don't think that line of thinking is where the Hawks are. And specifically I am hearing that they are quire concerned with the "track record." |
