I don't, only posted it to show how ignorant the guy really is. The fans bases haven't shrunk, we're just saving our energy and enthusiasm for teams built to contend. - flyerscup2011
Oh I know, I just wanted to publicly call him a giant douchebag asshat.

In other news, and this is just a very big "dream" right now.. I have a 10 day vacation starting at the end of this week. Was thinking of taking the bike down for a cruise and possibly to Philly.
If this was to happen, and again it's a big if.. What's good to see/do?

Just make sure its not around the week of Sept 25. That is when the city gets shut down for the Pope.....literally...shut down.

Eat. Reading Terminal Market; DiNic's roast pork. Get provolone cheese, broccoli rabe, and banana peppers. Also eat cheese steaks.
Walk around old city and drink.
As far as actual touristy things, there's really not much. There's the liberty bell? Philly's just a fun city to party in/have a good time, I've found. There's no Arch, ya know?

Eastern State Penitentiary is cool, The Zoo is a good tourist spot. Take a day down the shore and annoy me by driving slow and stupid. Do the Museums-see the stupid Rocky statue and steps, hit the Lego exhibit at the Franklin Institute, Independence Park, Valley Forge. The Mutter Museum of medical oddities.
Go across the river and hit the Camden Aquarium, the USS New Jersey battleship, go to a Phillies game. John's Roast Pork will be open Wednesday with a new grill(unfortunately I missed that they were closed and went there today).

I tend to do ore touristy stuff in Philly when I go with the wife, because she's from North Jersey. Plus I have kids, and they like the tourist stuff.
I liked hitting South Street, going to JC Dobbs or as it eventually became The Pontiac Grille, or heading up to Rittenhouse square and going to the Irish Pub on Walnut. I haven't been out in Philly in years, though. The last bar in the city I went to was McFadden's after a Phillies game.
