haha my mistake. 3.6/3.75 it all hurts my heart the same.
haha I am envious, I am jealous, thats a great signing by Calgary. I hate the sensnucksnocups and Bingo's so much that I have actually turned to support other teams signings when they are measurably better than ours in the past 2 years. I need a psychiatrist.

You don't think 6.75/per is a little high for a Dman that has yet to break 50 points and has yet to play a full season in the past 4 years? (other then the shortened lockout season)?

I dislike Bingo and sensnucksnocups soo much that I can't bring myself to sh!t on other team's threads. I can always appreciate a good signing by a rival team or any team for that matter. I didn't like the numbers on sbisa's contract and I am hopeful he can start to work on his game and earn those millions he will be paid. I still wish we had picked up Irwin for the price the Bruins got him at. No use complaining that, what is done is done and we can only sit and watch it unfold.

Sbisa will be 28 at the end of his contract Giordano will be 38, the last 3 years of that contract have huge question marks.

It's a good contract

But the fact that he will be 33 when this contract kicks in is a little concerning.

Sbisa ??? (to compensate for not having a huge question mark, I am giving you multiple question marks).

I don't think the Sbisa contract will doom the Canucks, I just don't think it was a great extension. But if JB was talking to a few gm's to bring in a replacement via trade or he didn't like what he saw in the pending ufa market, I guess he went with the devil he knew.

Guessing the people that will vote Harper appreciated the Sbisa signing....

Look at Kesler's contract. I understand the concerns with GIO and his health but he is a great player and those numbers aren't attrocious by any means. He makes the Flames significantly better when he is playing.

Adam Cracknell signed by the Canucks....depth signing but nice to have some experience and toughness in Utica I guess.

Hey now... You guys benefited significantly from that arrangement. I wouldn't be surprised if Calgary paid that bonus on behalf of the Canucks.

That would be nice. Bieksa, whether he does well or not, shouldn't factor in our happiness.

In this near topic-less drought of summer, I was thinking of a quick pole. I notice- both in regular season and Vault summer months, some teams I watch constantly, others never, or only if Vancouver is playing them. I'll post my own, and if you want to throw down yours, cool.
Teams I Watch
Canucks
Habs
Islanders
Rangers (hate them, but I feel like I see them play a lot)
Blue Jackets
Blues
Predators
Lightning
Coyotes (by way of location only)
Stars (Hate them, but they are compelling to watch)

And, in reverse, teams I am barely aware even exist:
Leafs
Hurricanes (but no one is is really aware they exist, mute point)
Panthers
Wild
Sharks* (Their broadcasting team is like insect repellent, can't do it)
Avalanche
Flyers

Everyone else, I suppose, falls somewhere in the middle.

I'll always watch the Habs, I'm starting to enjoy watching the Jets and I'll watch the Red Wings just in case Datsyuk does some kind of unbelievable magic. The rest can go to hell.

PS. I still waiting to be banned you (frank)ers.

If I was a Canucks fan I'd be hoping that the ducks pay for that deal ...maybe he will get an assist on a goal that eliminates them from the playoffs

If that assist comes before the tdl, it won't be so bad, after the tdl, it could be like a dagger in the heart.

I think we will really have to be out of the playoff race to capitalize on the tdl. If we are just barely out of a playoff position, I fear JB will hold onto some pending ufa's that could garner picks, in the hopes of making a late playoff push.

I'm looking at the upcoming rule changes—coach's challenge and 3-on-3 overtime—in today's new blog.

Has anyone heard any word on Jared McCann?

Has he recovered from that hit at the world junior showcase? It's been a couple weeks but haven't heard a peep since he got injured.

I think it's decent...still a little overpaid. Just a little high for a player that has been consistently injured 20 games per season for the past 4 years. I get that his numbers have been great the past two seasons but a contract like that should have been more around 5.9-6.5 considering he hasn't played a ful season in 4 years.
