Get knocked out three times and then call me touchy. Not a single child of mine will ever play hockey.

Not after what iv'e been through. not a chance.

Getting your head smashed really alters your thoughts on whats important. Its scary shyt man.

I feel your pain. I took a hip check in a beer league game last year and landed on the side of my head and neck. Got up, saw stars fill up my vision, and collapsed. Since then I got headaches often after having maybe 1 or 2 a year. Concussions are no joke and I wouldn't wish them on anyone

I don't think its hate. We cheer for the crest on the front not the name on the back. He is moving on and so should we.

True enough. It's not like I'm suddenly an Anahiem fan or will even pay any more attention to them just because he's there, and ideally they would have moved him two years ago, but that doesn't change the fact that for quite awhile he was pretty damn good at his job.

I agree with a lot of your posts but oduya and hjalmarson would be top pairing on very few teams. I agree juice deserves more credit as a really good defender in his prime. Unfortunately he didn't age as well as some of his peers here, but I guess we should be happy Benning got an asset for him.

Slight exaggeration.

They'd be rock stars in Toronto and Edmonton though.

I got knocked out about a dozen times fighting my brother. I don't blame you for not putting your kids in hockey, football ETC. However, there's a whole bunch of poop that can go wrong in life and team sports do something to build character IMO.

There is no question. We all know this. Why are we all reliving this again?

It was a great season, but losing like that and to the Bruins who think they are the protectors of all things holy was just brutal.

Many saw it as just payback for many of Kesler and Burrows actions. Can't blame them. They made their bed... And they paid for it.

The problem as well all know is how MGT reacted after 11'.

Bad contracts, Bad Hires, Just all around bad and in denial.

After the Kings rolled them in '12 it was time to refresh the core.

Not fire the coach. But what the hell... That stubborn frenchy wouldn't work with kids anyways.

Kevas Sbieksa.

Right now they are both capable of making Calgary look good in the playoffs. At least one of them plays physical for 1 mil less.

No cup has always been from secondary scoring and a lack of depth at C. The one year we had 4 quality C's one went and got his eye destroyed.......then we had 3. We also lost our top Dman in the finals, and our 2C became largely ineffective due to injury.

We lost in game 7 of the finals.....

Pretty hard to pin that on Bieksa.

- golfingsince

Pin it on Ehrhoff then...-17 for the 2011 playoffs...

I didn't realize that. That's brutal. I know he got most of his points on the PP, but it's not like that was doing anything for us in the finals.

Well he was -13 but had 12 points. Aside from that, we haven't had a guy who could move the puck like him since.

Again, I think we try to hard too find a scapegoat instead of realizing we just need to get one more win.

Edit: Henrik Sedin -11, Jannick Hansen led the team at +7....followed by Bieksa at +6.

I'm pretty sure we can stop looking at that stat.

It's (frank)ing ridiculous. That was a pretty dominant team when healthy. As much as I admire AV for the coaching job he can do I was pissed when he didn't change his lines against the Blackhawks for game 5. I always said to put Burrows with Kesler at that point, it only took him 3 games to figure it out. That may have saved some wear and tear.

Losing Manny was the biggest issue however. That made Kes take way too high of a defensive zone face-off %. GMMG actually made some brilliant moves that year........it's too bad they're overshadowed by what happened afterwards. There would be a bronze statue of him had game 7 gone differently.

Injuries did the Canucks in, but the Rome suspension really killed them.

That's odd the stats page I saw said he was -17...

Oh well ultimately you're right just one more win was needed regardless.

Butt but but. .. Leonardo was so dreamy in titanic. .... one day I'll have that sort of romance in my life. .....
And in other news 1 year olds have a tendency to wake you up early.

Moving on.
I think our forward depth is top half in the league and unless we get some present surprises our defence is bottom half.

What would it take to get Sam out of Buffalo now that they have such top end center depth?
Do we have the assets for such a move and if so would you do it?

Kings are interesting. The decline of Brown, Richards, the loss of Voynov Mitchell Reigher. Stoll is gone. They are not the same team

Blackhawks still need to sign 2 players and have 250k in cap space
