It will be interesting to see them battle the Kings this season. - VanHockeyGuy
The Kings, the Sharks and the Avalanche will all be better this year, the Canucks have a difficult road ahead of them in 2015/16. |

Kevas Sbieksa.
Right now they are both capable of making Calgary look good in the playoffs. At least one of them plays physical for 1 mil less. - boonerbuck
Those two guys were great together.

With all the new faces I think they will start slow and improve as the season develops. We won't see 101 points.

I think you'll see a quick start with the twins, as usual, and then a bit of a lull by the time December rolls around. As the Sedins go, so goes the team!
I'm predicting a low 90's point total for the team and missed playoffs. Hopefully they do well in the lottery! |

The Kings and Avs and Dallas should be contending for sure but not sold on SJ just yet...don't really think they have improved at all.
Calgary and Van should roll back a bit to somewhere between 93-96 pts. Whether it's good enough for a wildcard guees we'll see. EDM will move up but still miss the PO's...but they are going to cause problems for a great many teams.
We should see reg season domination from ANA but again they will choke in the PO's not sure what round though.
CHI might take a bit of a step back but we've been saying that for years and they still manage to win...
I think with Miller and the Sedins still here providing consistency we will contend for the WC spot...but most likely just fall short. Hopefully well before TDL so we can dump the rest of the old core.

Agree with you on the Avs, Kings & Stars, they should all have improved seasons. As for the Sharks, I don't necessarily think they needed to get better, but rather they needed a different mental approach to the game. Which they now have. |

Unless DW has smoothed the rift over I don't see that situation improving in SJ any time soon. |

Blackhawks still need to sign 2 players and have 250k in cap space - VANTEL
Kruger won't come cheap either...
Kane won't come off the cap until months into the season, same way Voynov didn't, and won't be allowed to play if he's still under investigation.
Even if the league doesn't tell the Hawks not to play him, i'm sure the team itself won't put him out there since he'd be a total distraction with the rape case hanging over his head. |

I predict a high 90s low 100s point total and the Nux make the playoffs. They win the first round and lose in the second to Anaheim who goes on to win the cup. If Canucks manage to beat Anaheim then they go on to win the cup in a 7 game finals against one of Montreal, Pittsburgh, or the Isles. |

The most exciting part of the year, for me, is my expectation that some kids will most likely get into the lineup come trade deadline.
Kids like Jake Virtanen and Corrado have a real shot at starting with the club, but by February I think you'll see young players like Shinkaruk and perhaps Gaunce get their shot at some NHL regular season action. |

They've still got, on paper, a more talented team than the Canucks do as far as top six players go. As I said, I think the voice behind the bench and a new approach to how they do business on the ice was by far their biggest issue. |

I don't know about the AVs. O'Rielly is a big loss. They'll need crazy good goaltending.
I think there's a good chance we finish ahead of them. Kings need to keep the drama off the ice and they should be ok, but I don't know what happens if Richards and the NHLPA win their appeal. Dallas should be better. They wasted absolutely brilliant seasons by Benn and Seguin last year. |

Not trying to be argumentative here; however, there is a huge rift between many of the players and DW.
A new coach hired by that GM doesn't make everything ok.
Time will tell if DeBoer can bridge and heal all of that, but I don't see it happening. |

With the Sedins getting old and the current defense lines the Canucks have, they will miss the 2015-2016 playoff.
