It is surprising that we often don't need mods because we keep it pretty civil between ourselves. It is disappointing, we don't have our own mods and have trolls coming into Canuck threads to stir it up, ruining good discussion and it kills the thread as everyone leaves in disappointment with the behaviour.

These trolls come here and try to insult and talk about our perceived failure, but it is just a distraction from their own. They may get a ban, but they return to troll when the ban is done. lice.

Don't understand where they draw the line. Almost like officiating in the NHL. Player is as cheap and dirty as they come, refs ignore, that is just the game of the sh!thead, someone reacts or retaliates and they get 5 and a game.

From CaptEO, what they are looking for in a Mod:

The challenge is finding a Mod who is not provincial...IOW someone who just isn't there to "keep others out" but to be sure that all posts meet the code of conduct so that differing opinions can exist w/o being dragged down into name calling, and threats.

The Mod would have to work closely with me and the other Mods and Admins and would be accountable for their techniques and methods to keep the boards clean.

Who among those you have mentioned may fit that bill?

I say we keep PM'ing Capt EO with candidates for our own Mod. He seems open to the idea. I'll copy & paste his perameters for a Mod so everyone who is interested can see what the powers that be are looking for.

I got banned yesterday , but I knew I would be.

I laughed at his Martyr speech yesterday when he doesn't want to take legal action. I would love it if troll boy took legal action because along with that comes names and addresses. I would gladly give up my identity to expose him , but it will never happen on his part because he would then have to remove the rock he crawled under and be exposed.

Micah said weeks back that he was banned to labour day, which makes me think he went after this site with some serious threats. I think that has to be one of the main reasons we can't get a mod. We get excuses and ignores , whenever we ask about getting a mod. Very coincidental if you ask me.

He has been harassing on here since 2012 which I have asked a lawyer about today if it is possible to take legal matters. I wil be meeting with him next week to find out. Hopefully we can expose this clown once and for all. Some of you PM me with support . Thank you .

An easy solution to a lot of this would be if HB could ban posters or limit their ability to post in certain threads. Like having limited access to the site. Guy would be free to post in Leaf threads, but not able to post on Canuck threads.

Vantel received his ban for some harsh posts, but in his defense, he was responding to a guy who just comes here to insult and troll. These trolls don't come here to have a conversation, no real exchange of information or meaningful discussion. The guy got banned for sh!tting in a Canuck thread, comes back and posts that he is out of jail on parole and sticks out his tongue, wanting a reaction. Some reacted. Guy runs to a mod and out come the bans. Sounds like someone is holding his hand while he sh!ts in the playground.

I hope we get a mod, but I will feel sorry for the mod because there is a fine line on what does and doesn't get banned around here. And you will be put in some awkward situations. - poking is okay, over reacting will get the ban. and it will often be the usual suspects doing the poking.

I'd say just talk to EK or someone like that about giving him a lifetime ban based on him ruining the website for so many people. The loss of interest due to essentially him should push them to do so based on huge loss of business. EK has so much riding on this site for him to come ruin it all and drive his business away.

It is ridiculous.

Right now the GF and I are finalizing divorces so we can get hitched in Oct. Our lawyer is her best friends hubby. We are meeting to get our final papers but I asked him today , if I can go after this guy legally for harassment.

He said it might be hard to prove but if I start a legal complaint the site might be forced to give up his personal info. That is all I really want to peruse.

Like I said I would love it if he did something legally. Then he is exposed.

I PM'd the mods. We just need someone to keep the peace and issue warnings before things get out of hand. Clearly things have gone too far lately as no MOD has been present. Hopefully I hear back soon and we can get someone in here right away.
