I'm not confusing anything. We were the worst team in hockey last two years running. We added two bonafide top 6 players in Kane and ROR who aren't exactly lighting the league on fire with goals. Our other two potential adds are teenagers.
We have a young blue line, and a goaltender with injury issues. And yes, goaltenders can steal, or lose games for a team.
Like Sabresfan-365 said, all it takes is one injury for us and we are in bad shape. - sbroads24
We tried to be the worst team and hockey the last two years. We hired a coach that couldn't even get a minor league gig. We brought in minor league players to try to lose. Our roster as currently constructed is at least solid. Geez, the third line might be Gus, Gionta and Reinhart. The fourth line is going to be a bear to play against. I don't see how an injury to anyone is a deal-breaker.
Goalies are a dime a dozen. If we learned nothing else last year, I would think that chasing off goalies because they were too good should have showed us that.
But alas... it is going to be great to actually root for the team again. I spent years rooting for them to blow it up and then two more to watch them actually blow it up. |

What precedent is there for ROR being suspended 5-10 games? There will be no suspension. I have no argument with anything else - turbo044
None, I totally agree.
Wouldn't the best thing for the long term future of the team be another high pick (perhaps get lucky and end up with a top 3) that they would then use on a D man, after a season where they showed glimpses of being a good team, but not consistent sustained games of good play?
Meaning they up in the bottom 5-7 teams of the league. |

When I was just a little kid - and this goes back into the late 1960's - I really, really, really wanted a pet dog. I couldn't have one though, because my older sister and younger brother both had really bad allergies, and sometimes you give stuff up so that the rest of the family can be happy.
Without intending to touch on any of this thread's running gags, the puppy I really wanted was a German Shepherd. I was going to call him Bismark. I didn't really care what the breed was, though, it could have been anything, even a stupid Cocker Spaniel.
If you look carefully for a little while, you might be able to make out the face of a cocker spaniel in this cloud.
Sometimes, that's kind of a nice way to spend the time, just looking up at fluffy clouds.

Pegula suspended Aaron Kromer for 6 games when his charges were dropped. I think it's possible they implement some sort of punishment if the NHL chooses not to |

Pegula suspended a line coach (not a player, he didn't suspend Dareus last year)who paid a family off not to keep going with the charges...big difference. |

Jesse is Walter's soul.
You're coming to the really good seasons. Watch the interplay between Walt and Mike as a uniquely great storyline. |
