Here's something hockey related...

So, I'm in a dynasty fantasy hockey league. I inherited the team a few years ago and it was AWFUL. I've managed to get a lot of the really good young guys, so I'm hoping to make a push for the playoffs this year finally.

HOWEVER, I do have the 1st overall pick in the waiver draft, since I finished dead last (though I did it on purpose, not gonna lie). The obvious choice is to put in a claim for McDavid, since I get the first waiver claim. There is a part of me that really wants to take Eichel instead.

Thoughts?

Oh, I'm definitely leaning toward McDavid. But at the same time it would be kind of fun to have Eichel. I wish I could get both, but that's not gonna happen.

I probably should mention that I also have Hall. I don't like putting too many eggs in one basket, but I also have Ennis. So either way, it's gonna happen.

You just don't understand what kind of leader he was in the locker a guy like him should be rewarded with playoffs but I think its trashy that we are on the verge of a great team and he's not going to be here I think that's why Buffalo fans are pissed off

I think as this drags on it probably becomes less likely. They've made multiple offers to him, sounds to me like he's waiting for someone to match or someone to give him an extra year.

Other than the Fred Jackson news I'm very excited about the season think Sammy Watkins is going to be blazing this year
