I think he's more Kordell stewart than anything...and somebody needs to mention that no run-first quarterback, no matter how athletic and dynamic he might have been, has ever won the super bowl - Michael Pachla
I don't think that there have been any "run-first" quarterbacks. A few fantastic runners have won - Steve Young and Russel Wilson come to mind. |

as good as taylor and ej have looked, imagine how much better they will look this season with mccoy, watkins, harvin and woods
3 players with pro bowl talent and an under rated woods

there's no tape on 2T...once defenses figure out his tendencies, odds are that he'll be shut down...
I've also heard that some say 2T's like colin kapernick...yet people forget that ej was drafted as a "read-option" qb in the mold of kapernick |

1) This is being done by people that are terrible at putting puzzles together
2) How do you enjoy sports in Buffalo then? The Patriots cut big names and big contributors all the time, then go win another Super Bowl. In Buffalo some individual success is all we've ever had. - Buffalo--Sabres
Your opinion obviously.
This is also year 2 of a new regime, with new people at the helm. Also year 1 for a new coach because the last coach quit.
Fred Jackson is known more for his story (and rightfully so) and one stiff arm last year than his overall play. I saw someone post a stat that from years 2007-2011 he was the 3rd best RB in yards per touch. Well guess what? That was 4 years ago. You can say he was mishandled the last few seasons but so what its in the past he isn't 24 and have a chance to change that.
Fred Jackson represented the "best" of a the last 16 years of players who couldn't get the Bills to a playoff game. Time to move on.

mark brunnell was unreal his first few years down here until injuries forced him to be a pocket passer |

those are the playmakers...which quarterback will get them the ball in positions to make plays?
imo, taylor is third on that list behind cassel and ej |

Question Pach,
Did you watch the last pre-season game?
Taylor only took of running 1 time and stayed in the pocket very well and made some good throws in the process and only 1 incomplete pass on that stupid fade pass in the endzone that teams love to throw.
EJ also looked really well in the pocket and made huge big league throws.
Cassel is the odd man out IMO. |

I know I have been hard on Bills, but picking up Taylor and starting him is good. Not the answer, but a good upgrade and gives them a chance

Not saying Taylor is great, but is best that they have and gives them a chance
Then on RG3:

I would expect redskins to waive QB as soon as he is healthy. Can not risk 16m for next year.

Really? I think Taylor's passes looked the best out of all of the guys. He puts them right in the numbers. EJ's are erratic and tend to end up making the guy come back to it or go into a spot he's gonna get killed.
Cassel can't seem to do anything more than 8 yards down field. It can be effective, but with the weapons we have, playing that style game is not utilizing them properly. |

i'm with ya, striper...it's no skin off of my back as to who starts...the thing that gets me is it's yet another case of the buffalo media propping up an unknown quantity as the qb while vocally patting themselves on the back relentlessly (i'm glad Jeremy white is on vacation....
both cassel and ej have had to adapt to the defenses figuring them out...defenses will figure 2T out and i'm not so sure he'll come out of it in a good way |

This has been my concern as well. But, that doesn't mean he can't adapt his game to it. He's not a rookie. He's been in the NFL for awhile. I think that keeps getting lost in the shuffle here as well. |

just heard Schopp all giddy over the possibility of the bills finding that diamond in the rough...
2T has never started a regular season game and, based upon three preseason games, the media has him as "the answer"
I don't get it...been through that movie too many times before |

I don't think he's the answer, but out of the 3 guys in camp, I thought he performed the best. Which is why I think they made the right decision. Obviously my eyes are a lot more untrained than theirs are, but Roman has been around a while so he must see things he likes as well.

I don't really view ej's first two seasons under marone and company are an indication of his capabilities...
they did not play to ej's strengths...
don't forget, ej did win a game against Carolina on the final drive... he did that in preseason as well |

14 games in the NFL in 4 years, only 4 of those games the last 2 years.
While I'm fine with him being the starter, I can't imagine there are too many successful QBs who end up with such limited playing time their first 4 years in the league and then come out and light the world on fire.
*Note I said not too many...before people throw out a single name and beat their chests. |

yeah, they saw what they saw and made the move based upon that...fine by me...
we have hockey to look forward to very soon |
