That kind of talk is not welcome here.
Kane for Bozak and a 4th. - Interloper
Jesus, Interloper - did you not read what I wrote?
No GM is going to trade for a guy who they think may not be able to be in the lineup and contribute to the team.
Your trade proposal is stupid.
No way Chicago trades for Bozak. |

Unfortunately, I heard the same this AM from a league-affiliated medical source. Not good. - John Jaeckel
What does a league affiliated medical source mean exactly? What would a medical source have anything to do with this? |

Poop. If he did it, get the legal stuff over with and if he's tradable at that point (ie plea to a misdemeanor) get the best return you can and move on. Free cap space and a great crop of UFAs this summer. |

Excellent point.
Unless the Buffalo Sabres training staff administered the rape kit, the NHL has no inside knowledge of this. |

Did your source say that he thinks this case may be a slam dunk for the DA, just like MG's did? If so, is that because the results from the rape kit test would be back by now if the results were negative or inconclusive? |

The Blackhawk's situation remains uncertain and fluid...what a mess.
Q and Co. face a huge challenge this year, and I have no clue how this season will transpire.
Could be interesting and entertaining with another trip to the playoffs...
...or it could be disastrous.
Things will start taking shape in late September. - ArlingtonRob
my sober prognositcation
1. no matter how the kane situation resolves itself...he will be a huge distraction going forward
2. hawks will have a 3-4 new guys in there top 9 and and dmen 4-7 look ????s; there will be surprises but I expect disappointments to carry the day
3. coming off their 3rd strt short off season...another year older and those top 3 dmen logging heavy physical and mental minutes
4. hawks are ripe for the injury "bug" to hit
5. every team in the league will be gunning for them
Interesting 1st 8 games are all EC....odd scheduling
this team under Q like to get off to fast starts and get points early and often....
given what i have summarized....that will be a very difficult thing to do this year...
i am not dissing these guys or wishing the worst...they are humans (I think) and to overcome what they will need to and just keep on keep'n on will be tough |

As a general rule, management doesn't like it when you show up to the rink 3 days in a row wearing the same suit.
Another general rule: management doesn't like it when they have to hire a security guard to sit outside your hotel room all night, to make sure you don't go out after curfew. - Atomic Wedgie
3 days in a row in the same suit? Some reports say 6 days, others 8. And the reports are also are conflicted as to when he had this alleged binge, some say the Leaf, Bruin series other reports the Hawk, Bruin series. Don't you think if he was out of town he would have brought a change of clothes and if there was so much of an issue why didn't the Bruins reel him in on day 2? The real story is he missed curfew twice in the 2013 playoffs, once he was with his family the other was with some teammates. |

If true, and he is guilty, they will be able to release him, no? |

Oh boy!
And here we thought the rumor that Kane was not looking to do a plea deal was evidence he was convinced he didn't need to because he is innocent or they don't have enough evidence to prove him guilty. Now, this latest rumor suggests there's no plea deal in the works because the DA has convincing evidence that Kane is guilty so they're not going to offer a deal.
When will this end?

I would not place money on that.
In fact, I first heard the term "slam dunk" associated with this case about 2 weeks ago. Didn't give it much credence then, but now hearing that from a source this AM and the sports mockery thing (again, that taken with a grain of salt).
Regardless, trust me, there is significant financial interest on the part of the NHL and the Chicago Blackhawks to know as much as they can right now about the details of this case. I am certain they know some things. Maybe quite a bit. |

I heard "slam dunk" two weeks ago from a source close to Buffalo law enforcement. I heard it this morning from an NHL (guess which team) medical source. And i would assume sports mockery is getting it from a third source. Doesn't mean the girl will press charges either. |

the DA doesn't care about the hawks nor NHL financial interests...why would they share any details? especially considering if they have details, they are preparing a case, not sharing |

...and the overriding issue is main decision makers wanted him gone...Lack of trust or felt not worth the bother-There is a risk giving up on young players...But at some point those in control didn't worry about the risk.

No argument. Also, I'm not one to assume the DA's office is the only source of information. Or that it is entirely leak free either. |

And those main decision makers are still there. Whatever the reason Seguin like Kessel was run out of town and strangely some Hawk posters think Quenneville doesn't like young players. |

The "Sports Mockery" thing includes audio if Mark Giongreko talking about hearing the same thing you did from a BUF police source. So FWIW the meat of the article is base on Giongreco. |

I just listened to that again. Suppose he heard it two weeks ago just like JJ did and the situation is no longer what he had supposed? It's tough to know what's right until we know. |

"Slam Dunk" came out on the Waddle and Silvy show. And they played tippie toe quite a bit in terms of insinuating anything else related to the case itself.
