Silly question, but why would his TOI go up in Pittsburgh? By most accounts, Pittsburgh has a much deeper team that Toronto, and they have one of the best second lines in hockey. In Toronto, it was basically Phil Kessel and then everyone else when it came to point-producing forwards. If that's the case, I would expect that Toronto would feel the need to play him more often than Pittsburgh would.

Realistically by his 3rd shift in Toronto last season Kessel was thinking about what was for dinner after the game!

. Then by his 5th shift he was gassed.
Now this season he's had a dose of Gary Roberts & he will have Sid talking about hockey strategies - something he's never had or heard before, so he will be focused. So in reality he will feel like his TOI will have tripled!
