If Scuderi is playing in front of Dumoulin this season my argument emidiately changes to pro-buyout. Losing Erixon or Clendening to wavers because the FO refuses to send Scuderi to WBS would piss me off, but we didn't know we'd have those two in the system during the buyout window, so once again I do not fault Rutherford.

We thought we would have Dumoulin and Harrington so it remains largely the same concern. I don't think Erixon would get picked up but Clendening very likely would from everything I've read on Canucks Army and SBN. Dumoulin is probably 50/50.

Losing Clendening would annoy me, since JR targetted him specifically in the deal, have to think they have plans for him. Biggs and Erixon I'm okay with losing.

Silly question, but why would his TOI go up in Pittsburgh? By most accounts, Pittsburgh has a much deeper team that Toronto, and they have one of the best second lines in hockey. In Toronto, it was basically Phil Kessel and then everyone else when it came to point-producing forwards. If that's the case, I would expect that Toronto would feel the need to play him more often than Pittsburgh would.

Realistically by his 3rd shift in Toronto last season Kessel was thinking about what was for dinner after the game! . Then by his 5th shift he was gassed.

Now this season he's had a dose of Gary Roberts & he will have Sid talking about hockey strategies - something he's never had or heard before, so he will be focused. So in reality he will feel like his TOI will have tripled!

I probably would play him a ton on the PK too if forced to have him on the roster. Doesn't mean he isn't aware of his shortcomings on the PK. It's just the best situation where someone else (Fleury) can compensate for his suckiness more than in other situations.

So you & Victor both say that we can throw anybody out on the PK as it doesn't matter what players are there it's all a matter of the goalie?

So the best PK team has the best goalie? Is that what you guys are saying?

No... We're saying MAF was just that good to take an average to above average group of PK skaters to elite status.

Dude when has Kessel done all the work? He doesn't do any work. Ever. He's lazy and never gives 100%
