Top Player: The Czechs generally display an aggressive and imaginative offense, and no player singularly personified the trend than LW Lukas Jasek (VAN 6th/2015), who carried not only the top line, but was the team’s most consistent and dynamic performer. Jasek’s pre-draft knock had been shift-to-shift consistency, but we saw a solid effort on most shifts and a penchant for creativity and momentum-changing plays. While we knew he had a scorer’s touch and an explosive first step, we were most impressed by his ability to drop his shoulder and beat defenders to the outside while taking the shortest possible route to the net.

Jasek was probably the pick I was most happy about this past draft, not that I knew anything about him but he was pegged by many scouts as a 3rd/4th round pick.
It would be nice if he decides to come play in NA like Zhukenov is this season at some point.

Horvat will be better than Bennett...and it's not going to be close.

I think this is what happens when the team you support hasn't had a descent rookie in its organization for a long time. We start to freak out when a half decent player shows up.

Depends on how high the 1sts are, teams don't just look to trade top 3 picks these days.

I'm expecting a 1st + potentially a OK prospect for Hamhuis and a 2nd + decent/OK prospect for Vrbata.

That situation would imply that you are discounting prices but you have overvalued every player by a large margin.

I went in, walked around and left. never went back.

Target in the states is better, but I am not sure if that is an endorsement.

Ultimate scenario: We trade Hamhuis to Edmonton at the TDL for their 1st round pick. Edmonton immediately tanks and misses the playoffs finishing last in the division. Edmonton inevitably wins the first round lottery pick and we get Austin Matthews 1st overall.

Hamhuis re-signs in Vancouver at 2.5 x 3 just to keep his family here.
