it's an ahl contract...they're only allowed so many veterans on the team (five, I believe?,) so I don't think it'll hurt the youngins all that much

clean slate this year for everyone, including him...not gonna drive myself crazy thinking about the past

The easy one first - no to Kaleta. I don't think he is a good role model for any young draftees that he would play with in Rochester.

Regarding Lehner, I am still shaking my head at this one. While I really like most of the moves that TM has made, this one makes me the most nervous, particularly for the price that we paid. Guys that get hit hard in the noggin' never seem to be the same again. Reimer hasn't been the same goalie in T.O. since he got concussed. Lieuwan got concussed and couldn't stop a beach ball after his return. I hope I am wrong and he becomes the next Bernie Parent but I'm not so sure......

I have no problem with one more year of Kaleta seeing as how he'll likely be playing with the Amerks. Despite his reputation from the past, he's well endorsed as a great teammate in the locker room and would stick up for anyone on the ice. Seems to have matured a bit post knee injury and would likely be an excellent role model to show the young guys in the AHL how to be a professional and offer a bit of protection on the Amerks 3/4th line

Kaleta's contract was up, he has no business back with this team.

Lehner was not my first choice but I would like to see what he can do.

Going to the Trojans game tonight so excited

I see that the conversation is mostly on Lehner but is their anybody out there who is kind of interested on seeing Johnson play? The guy has had nothing but chit talked about him since being traded to us and has yet to put on the jersey. I would love for this kid to show something this year.
