Well this board would be boring if we all agreed all the time. I just think Ellis is useless and playing guys like him and Kaleta means some of the kids will be healthy scratches. I don't like that. Cunneyworth can do the teaching as well. We don't need both Kaleta and Ellis playing there.

Gionta is playing way more minutes then he should IMO
14 per night and a few on the pk
that's all he should be playing - homiedclown
This is also true. I think he is going to look closer to what he looked like at the end of the year last year playing on the 3rd line with some decent talent (Reinhart and/or Girgs).

Everyone ends up a healthy scratch at times during the AHL season. It's the nature of them having 3 games in 3 nights. - HonkFortheGoose
I'd rather they play and cut their teeth down there. If it's injuries, that I understand. But when they signed guys like O'Reilly, Akeson and Sanguinetti, it told me that is the direction they need to go in as opposed to Kaleta and Ellis. Somebody will sit. |

No doubt. Guys like Cat, Nevins and even Carrier might never play here but give them the chance, let's see what we have. |

You have to have vets in the A for the younglings.
As long as he and Kaleta remain on AHL only deals, I see no problem.
Neither in any way should see the light of day on an NHL roster ever again. - dadeadhead
We have said this for 5 seasons now though.

I agree with Peters that the Sabres will give Guhle every opportunity to make the team it would not shock me one bit if he made the team |

Not this year, no room.
And there is no reason to rush the kid, let him develop. Heck, let him play in Rochester for a full season. It helped Pysyk and McCabe. |

Playing exceptionally well against guys your own age is great, but it's a completely different animal to have to play every night in the NHL. I'm not saying he for sure couldn't handle it, but it can't hurt to let him develop more as well. And being that things are starting to look a bit crowded on the NHL roster in general, I wouldn't doubt he's sent back to Jr and they don't think twice about it. |

This team is set at D for the season. And they have Donovan and Ruhwedel to call up in case of the aforementioned 'toe stubber'. |

Watching MNF last night at a buddies house, we flipped on the radio broadcast on of prospects game last night right as Eichel took the puck in the zone and scored in OT. Sounded awesome. Couldn't believe that timing. |

The team plane could crash and Kaletta isn't making this team. It is going to be hard enough to find spots for the 4th line guys we have (Shaller, Larrson, etc) |

That's what I'm thinking. I could see him playing in ROC and being a mid season call up if there are injury issues. |
