besides pp, i wonder how much time they spent together. it would be interesting to set some sort of baseline for min minutes together 5 on 5 and see the breakdown of productivity.

I think he had the second highest amount of pts with the twins

I never understood why that wasn't the first line. We never did have a second line anyways

Jason King...the forgotten Sedin line mate.

b/c i'm at procrastinating at work and the question popped into my head...

Besides Burrows, who would you rate as best Sedin wingman and why....

Klatt
Carter
King
Dalphe
Kassian
Hansen
Vrbata

Must be missing some....

But who was the most productive in junior?

to answer your question I would say Samuelsson

But if a skilled player like Ehlers is picking his ass off the ice 10 times a night because he was run over by a truck , he won't be productive. Ask Hank he will tell you.

Our first need was toughness. Now go after skill

- VANTEL

But Hank is productive. Damn productive. He picks his ass up off the ice and sets something up.

It's all about the right mix. I'm good with the Virtanen pick because he provides something that is not just missing on the team, but the organization as a whole: size, physicality and a decent amount of skill. He's a player who will probably have more hits make the highlight reel than goals, but he'll provide some offence as well.

For me, Ehlers would have to provide considerably more offence to make up for the fact that it's pretty much all that he provides.

That said, it's that elusive mix. You need skill too. It's going to be a long time before a player comes along that I admire, respect and enjoy watching more than the Sedins, who are as skilled as it gets.

Regular season yes. I am not debating Hank. I am saying skilled players that get knocked down over and over get tired of getting back up if no one stops it

I'm not gonna be Booner and read every post, not that there's anything wrong with that, but what was the good word today?

Virtanen? Anyone debating that pick doesn't know what the Canucks were missing. BPA available and fits like a glove.
