I'm not gonna be Booner and read every post, not that there's anything wrong with that, but what was the good word today?

Virtanen? Anyone debating that pick doesn't know what the Canucks were missing. BPA available and fits like a glove.

About right, plus he's a BC kid and the real business of this team is to sell tickets not make a winner, that's just a bonus if it ever happens.

I've been working my way through the Okanagan wine we got this summer. We found some world class bottles up there this year. But I'll have to stock up on that amazing BC craft beer for the hockey season.

New on the menu for next season...

The Virtanen Dog: this distinctly Vancouver gourmet hot dog combines the best the lower mainland has to offer. Salmon, halibut and hobo served on a toasted Bahn Mai bun topped with tuna sashimi and pickled wasabi. After eating this culinary masterpiece, your toilet will become McDavid, your colon Virtanen and, well, you do the math.

Watch at the 22:30 mark on this video from Bob McKenzie done this week. Jim Benning: "I've always looked to the Detroit model of doing things...".

I'll take your word for it. I don't see him doing it though... he likes cliches as well I suppose.

I will say that if you're going to have a tough guy then go all out and get a big one who can knock someone out. Dorsett doesn't scare anyone. I'd rather fight him than Kassian if I'm am an opposing player.
- Nucker101

I cant remember Kassian not looking easy to fight as a Canuck honestly. I think Dorsett would beat him.

Knucker would trade Virtanen for Ehlers in a heart beat and thinks Stewert was a terrible 7th round pic. Nothing notable today

I wouldn't go that far, they'll both have successful careers, Ehlers will likely score more than Virtanen, but both play different styles of hockey. The only measure of success is Cups and who knows if either will win one.

Which bottles do you recommend? We have limited selection of certain Okanagan wines here in AB but some can be tracked down. I did not manage to get to may favorite spots in the Okanagan this summer But I'd like to hear what you recommend.

BC wine is Tres expensive in Alberta. I'm a fan of Joie, Kettle Valley, Painted Rock, Lake Breeze, Blue Mountain... But really, *most* producers make a few good to great wines, and also make a few less then so.It's about the process, enjoy the journey.

Safest projection to make, considering most people in this market are saying the same thing. Like many have said it will depend largely on the health of the key players.....of course that could be said for almost any team.

A lot of variables this season, particularly with young players making the roster. Looking forward to seeing how the continued changes impact the team.
