We are excited to see where he (Grenier) is at; he scored some big goals down in Utica - Benning at Media Day #Canucks

I'm wondering if he is Benning's 3rd forward that he alluded to that they would be trying with the Sedins.

He has always had the offensive abilities but last year he finally started using his size.

But he was called the biggest idiot in the league when he first started in the GM chair, things change.

He's highly invested in analytics now. The Isles use a computer model(or system) to help un their draft for them and make decisions on how to manage the NHL club. Benning is too old school to ever put them much faith into something like that.

My point stands, he wasn't very good at the job when he started, but, like you, I think he's actually really good at being a GM now. It's a learning process that all of them have to go thru...IMO.

I'd be curious to read a scouting report on his offensive style. If he's like Virtanen and thrives more off of the rush than in the cycle then I don't see it working, but if he does score most of his goals off of sustained zone pressure then it could be $$$$.

#Canucks Henrik Sedin thinks possibility of getting younger isn't negative but positive. "We're really looking at this year as a positive."

I wasn't able to watch the Young Stars tournament but I think Cassels and McCann need another year from what I've read.

It's hard to put too much stock into the tournament, but I definitely agree.

@BoHorvat has heard of the sophomore slump, but he's not afraid. "I'll play my game and help the #Canucks win. That's it."

Considering they are both coming off injures as well and likely haven't had a full off-season of training, the odds are stacked against them. Cassels in particular still looked uncomfortable.

McCann appears to me, limited viewing, to be a better skater than Cassels.

You truly have a great eye for these things.

From what I can tell, Hansen is a better skater than Bonino. Thoughts?
