You truly have a great eye for these things.

From what I can tell, Hansen is a better skater than Bonino. Thoughts?

But he was called the biggest idiot in the league when he first started in the GM chair, things change.

Exactly....too bad Benning doesn't get as much rope as Snow around here. He was as bad as Milbery for a few years

As I said, having never watched them on the ice surface at the same time, it can be difficult to judge, because, some guys appear to be slow but they actually aren't....stride length and such.

But you wouldn't know that because you've never played the game and don't appear to understand the nuances of it lol

And yes Hansen is definitely faster than Boner

Again....why? He wasn't a good second line option at center. I'm NOT a huge Brandon Sutter supporter but he's faster, he had three times as many hits as Bonino, he's better on the dot and he's younger.

But a 2nd round pick for a 3rd whine, whine, whine.

Isles sign Steve Bernier, also love what they're doing. Their cap management and drafting(early and late rounds) has been impressive. Snow is an underrated GM.

So you bash Benning for his moves but praise Snow despite the fact he made that deal for Vanek when they weren't a playoff team ?

I'm not crazy about adding that 2nd round pick either, but I'm not devastated about it. Hopefully a few TDL moves can get more picks to the ones they already have.

Pride??? It's pretty obvious Benning thinks the team needs a veteran goaltender, and Miller's that guy...nothing more, nothing less. The Canucks played well in front of Miller last year and it's been said many many times before, the veteran core asked for a veteran goaltender.

I still don't know how people can be judgmental over *A* rumor.

Ya I kinda like that Benning cuts bait when he sees things not working. Bonino had 7 goals in the first 14 games and then 8 in the next 50+ games...that's not acceptable for a second line center.
- LeftCoaster

Sounds like Kesler. Especially when you come to realize half his goal output is with the Sedins on the PP...

hey ribs. thanks for the recommendation for whiplash. i've been meaning to watch it for a while now.

that show i recommended to you (gomorrah) definitely gets high marks from me now that i've watched most of it. the movie upon which it was based was good (but not great). the movie was a mix between mean streets and traffic. mean streets in its grittiness and realistic story line. traffic in that it tries to combine several seemingly disparate but related story lines into one movie to show the tentacles of the mafia's reach in italian society. the movie is a bit slow paced though so be warned.

also, you don't necessarily need the movie to get drawn into the show. the show is like the sopranos with less of a "guido factor," but more realism. very good.

I didn't want to pay what I did for my new TV but I wanted a new TV for the Rugby World Cup so I paid the price, I think Benning did the same thing. Oh and I agree completely that this team should be very active at the TDL.

I find it very funny that people here complain about the management of this team, I don't know enough about the running of a hockey team to complain about it, it's the same reason I don't complain how brain surgeons remove a tumour.

I have no idea if SJ was the team or not but it isn't the first time that they were mentioned as being interesting in Miller and I definitely give something more credence coming from Friedman, who could lose he job for being wrong, then believing some anonymous poster online about Kesler sleeping with teammate's wives.
