I didn't want to pay what I did for my new TV but I wanted a new TV for the Rugby World Cup so I paid the price, I think Benning did the same thing. Oh and I agree completely that this team should be very active at the TDL.
I find it very funny that people here complain about the management of this team, I don't know enough about the running of a hockey team to complain about it, it's the same reason I don't complain how brain surgeons remove a tumour. - A_SteamingLombardi
I think people's biggest female dog is Benning is not getting the return for what they view as valuable asset's. I disagree with most of the people complaining about the value of those players thus I'm not disappointed with the returns.
Biggest difference I guess? |

Who would have thought a GM could improve after his first season...crazy.
- boonerbuck
I know....never heard of such a thing. Most people are excellent at what they attempt right off the hop...strange indeed!! |

I have no idea if SJ was the team or not but it isn't the first time that they were mentioned as being interesting in Miller and I definitely give something more credence coming from Friedman, who could lose he job for being wrong, then believing some anonymous poster online about Kesler sleeping with teammate's wives. - belcherbd
i believe the rumour. but based on all the team's moves under benning i'm led to believe that he values a veteran presence in the net (as well as throughout the lineup).
i didn't agree with the signing but i don't think benning's motivation changed: he wants a "reliable vet" in the pipes.
....which gets us back to the groundhog day discussions about benning and the direction of the team. |

I never worked in the slave trade either so I'm not a good judge of a person's value |

Also if it was San Jose, it was probably Wilson offering a second round pick in . . .

Well, who could blame benning for not dealing with SJ for Miller after they screwed him around on Bieksa. I support not dealing with maggots who double back on deals.
I have the benefit of not having to hear about Kesler through media or anonymous poster. I heard this from Canucks staff.

Conditional upon the Canucks taking up all of Miller's salary in perpetuity ala Luongo since he wants to play until he's 40+ |

Did Nonis get better after year 1? - A_SteamingLombardi
Ha, why are you asking me. You know the answer to that one.
I'm pretty sure I didnt imply all the GM's get better.

The difference in returns that he has got to what*maybe* he could have got has been very petty... like so many other things. This is mainly why the chicken little and sky is falling buzzwords have been tossed around.

Just looking forward to actual hockey. This summer of whining about trading second round picks for thirds has bee tiring. I think it's clear that Benning doesn't know anything until he knows everything unless he never does and Snow was an idiot, but now is a genius and always was a genius. |
