You have way more time watching the guy, and your posts all more or less confirm what I believe: as we enter the season, we have better options on the second line than McGinn.

If some of our guys get hurt, OK, in a pinch. But not as our first choice. Even as an experiment.

Love Ginner, but end of the day thats exactly what he was, just a solid 3rd liner. But those guys are a dime a dozen and can be replaced and had in Free Agency all the time.

Someone will pay McGinn 4m next year to plug him into their 2nd line and will be disappointed in the return. Hes good just not regular Top 6 good. You will be happy he is on your team but you will always be wanting more out of him since it seems like he could and should be a bigger contributor but just cant seem to get over the last hurdle to be a True Top 6 guy

Agreed. I'm a meat eater, but I'll be the first to admit that if I had to actually hunt for it myself, I'd be a vegetarian. This is one aspect of my life where "ignorance is bliss" is my mantra and I'm perfectly fine with leaving it that way.

A while back I brought up the question as to whether McGinn makes it here past deadline day. If he's done well, he may hit it big in FA like you said. Why pay him that when you've got several guys who are projected to be decent to above average top 9 fwds playing in the minors at a fraction of the cost? And if he plays poorly would you even want him back? If you turn him into a decent draft pick it could help address other areas of need.

That makes sense. I didn't do any research, but I didn't think he was AHL eligible.

And then....there is Bozak...

For a while there all went very quiet in Toronto, but today the rumors surrounding Tyler Bozak have once again surfaced with a source telling me he would put it at "60/40 Bozek is elsewhere by October 1." The teams interested are Carolina, NJ, Arizona, and the LA Kings (who are getting some much needed Cap relief.)

The asking price is a second and third...
